i just got prius alfa Gs 7 seater 2015, worried about its ground clearance. though it's having 18 rim with low profile Tyres but still gets kissed on heavy speed brakers. should I go for spacers or not. needs your expert advice. thanks

I have the sports version, would recommend spacers immediately. Otherwise you wont really enjoy driving out of the city. Even in the city you'll have to traverse very carefully over speedbumps.

Will look bad with spacers. Other option is slightly higher profile tyres, that makes quite a difference.

Fuel efficient cars like Prius are designed to be low, they have excellent drive and I would not play with the suspension to add spacer.

Yes it may scrape on large speed breakers, however patience is the key to drive Prius. Slow down/ zig zag.

Dont spoil your drive by adding spacers.

Don't add spacers it will affect your acceleration as well as fuel economy. We have owned a 2014 prius for 2 years and nothing happened only a slight scratch on the undertray which doesn't affect anything

Just put 0.75 inch spacers in the back. It will be just fine. I am using them without any issue locally and on motorway.

Dear All,

Kindly take note that adding spacer to the suspension changes the geometry of suspension. This can seriously effect the behaviour of car at high speed and braking.
