an imported destroyed Prius 2010 arrived at work shop for repair after customs clearance. the car needed serious work and repairs completed in 22 days however it failed to drive every time keyed in there is an alarm and upon scanning error code poped to check exhaust several attempts to check 02 sensor CAT convertor etc .. and this is what came out.

any prius user have idea if the Prius exhaust muffler have a bearing in it as some sensor or whatever please guide

This reminds me of the old exhaust bearing joke.
Dont know if this is the same thing but looks like a part of the mechanism that opens and closes the exhaust at different rev levels.

You can try toyota dealership since they were importing Prius. Otherwise got to look for them in junk yard

They support only 2012 onward for software & for parts. For earlier JDM they quote exorbitant price for parts as if made of Gold. Thanks anyway @anc

@capsat bro find it in rawalpindi chah sultan they had the half cuts with complete back ends this muffler and complete exhaust pipe will be easily available for 2ZR engine. find it if not founded then will assist you in finding it Pindi. Thumbs up for the repair job's keep the good work going.

please remember these ZVW's chassis had 3 kind of different exaust's back end suppressors plz donot mix those or you will end in CHK light popping the low end low pressure code.

This Prius 4 door Hatch have NHW code .. not the ZVW which is for station wagon - G-touring type
