i have a BIG problem...tht no cng mechanic has been able to solve TILL NOW! maybe u can help ...heres the situation:
car is carbeurated 95 corolla xe with a 2E engine. recently its 'power jet' of the carbeuretor was changed. a smaller one was put in tht is of '100' rating. previous was of '150' rating (original with car).
Car runs absolutely disgusting on CNG. on petrol its fabulous hitting 150 mark. engine got 30K km on it after rebuild.
PROBLEMS: absolutely no pick at all....when pedal is pressed at around 2000rpm the car doesnt have much pick.
Also...if accelerator FULLY pressed, there comes a point around 3000-3500 rpm tht the car suddenly starts slowing down as if somebody suddenly shut off its gas supply....when i release the pedal very very slightly it again suddenly starts accelerating but if i floor it again then it again starts slowing down. IT DOESNT HAPPEN ON PETROL. when car starts running is slow but it gradually gets better but doesnt remain very stable. After changing to gas from petrol car does a lot of 'missing'. car has to be driven at high rpm and pedal has to be pumped to correct this. Also it takes an extremely long crank..around 5 seconds even when car is fully heated.
AT PETROL ALL PROBLEMS VANISH.
KIT IS LANDI RENZO...without emulator advancer blah blah because it was converted at end of year 2000. i think theres a venturi in the carb jest above the power screw behind the carb. (btw...ive opened the power screw to nearly full now otherwise i get really bad driving experience)
Can ANYONE plzzzzzzzz help?...im gonna get tht power jet changed first..
