I just said that if some one is spending 6, 7 lacs rupees lesser than he should not enjoy the same shape.. more over, Xli's are being used as taxi's (white cabs).. This is affecting the class itself.. anyways thats my opnion.. I wont continue arguing anymore..
You cannot argue that a guy who spent 12 lacs should have inferior model from the one he's currently having. Coz no mattet what, 12 lac is still a hefty amount to pay and he is rightly earning the shape on that money. If you want that XLi owners should not enjoy this current shape of Toyota, then it's just jealousy im afraid.
As far as your point of spending 6-7 lacs more on Altis which has same shape, that is your choice as Toyota deliberately did not provide a better shape even when someone pays 18 lacs. That's just the price of the higher engine performance that the company put on Altis. If that's ok with you then buy Altis, otherwise noone is forcing you to buy it as you can always save those 6 lacs and buy GLI with same shape.
And as far as taxi argument goes, well Altis could have also been a taxi as well. To a normal onlooker as the shape of XLI and Altis is same, a person who see the taxi won't see any major difference between a taxi, an XLI or an Altis. Also, Camry, which is more expensive than Altis, is being used as taxi in UAE. So the value of Altis is already compromised as a much higher brand is a taxi in neighboring country.
