Brother i need to attest my BSC engineering degeree from HEC and not abel to find any slot soon, can i try luck without appointment..will they allow as i dont have time, company is forcing to join ASAP. Secondly do i need to attest SSC,HSSC certificate first or i just need to carry original(without attestation)to HEC islambad office for attestation. Guide please if someone has done this recently.

If it is attested by Kuwait MOFA. Then just get attestation from UAE consulate/Embassy in Kuwait.

The MOFA in UAE usually looks at the stamp of UAE consulate/Embassy only.

This forum helped me a lot. And i specifically made this account just to post this thread, in case someone needed help as I needed once.

So , Bachelor's Degree Attestation for Qatar that I did. Following is the process.

1. Find all your matric/O level certificates, Inter/A level Certificates. I don't mean DMC's , but rather the Certificates that are awarded after some time period of completion of matric/inter.

2. Take the certificates to their respective issuing authority ( For E.g , FBISE, or BISE Kohat ) and tell them to verify it for IBCC purposes. They will put it in an envelope . Do not open it up. FBISE provides the documents on the same day but every board has its own time that it takes to verify the documents, so , plan accordingly.

3. Take the sealed envelopes , and the original certificates to IBCC in G-9/4 Islamabad, and tell them to attest these for you . You can avail the services of IBCC in the regional cities as well, but I would advise using the IBCC center in Islamabad as the service is quick and you get the documents after a day.
   In case of A levels , you need to skip the 2nd point, and go straight to IBCC and get an equivalence certificate made.

4. Now, you have got original certificates for matric and inter ( Or in case of O and A levels , your certificates and your equivalence) and those are attested by IBCC. Take all these documents to HEC , in H/9 for degree attestation.

5. Original Certificates ( Matric and Inter / O levels and A levels )

6. In case of O - A levels , your equivalence certificate.
7. Original degree that you want to attest.
8. Original transcript for the degree program with all your grades for the entire university tenure.

In case of going to HEC, keep in mind that in Islamabad, they issue 240 tokens per day. Do not use the online token reservation system. It just wastes your time. Just get up early in the morning, and do a walk-in. Having an appointment is not necessary. Go early in the morning. I reached there at 6 A.M. There is a list there. You write your name on that list, and you get inside in increments of 40 people in the lab. Now, for the lab, you should have already made an account on das.hec.gov.pk and filled all your details , educational wise as well as personal.
When you reach the step that is " Select Documents for Attestation" , leave that blank, and fill that up in the HEC lab , and get a print out as soon as possible. The sooner you open your form and print it, the sooner you get a token number, and you would be processed sooner.
Also , if you make a mistake in your application form while filling it from home, you won't be able to change it from home. Don't worry. You can change everything from the HEC lab. Also, do not take the form printed with you already. They do not accept that, and would prefer that you print the form from their own labs , and thus use their own token numbers.
After getting a token number, you will be processed in the system. Complete all the formalities. Once submitted, they would give you back your attested degree in around 3 hours.

1. Second Last Step . Go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Buy a stamp over there for R.s 25 and put it at the back of your degree. Go inside, get a token number, and wait for your turn. You need the degree attested from HEC, its photocopy, and your NIC copy.
   The process at MOFA is also very time consuming. Please follow my advice, and save yourself a lot of trouble. They close down the token giving machine at 2 P.m. Reach there around 1.50 P.m and get the token. If you reach early, like at 8 A.m , you would get a token that is in the beginning, but they would take a lot of time in verifying your documents, and giving them back to you. I saw people who were there from 8 A.m till 3 P.m. Having a late token number is good, as the process gets really fast at the end. After 2 , they don't provide new tokens, and all the tokens issued till 2 pm would be dealt with first before closing down the office. You would get your documents in around 2 hours.

2. Last step. Attestation from the Embassy. I haven't done this yet, but is the easiest step . Go to G/-7 , and find SASHA international , and tell them to take your documents for attestation. Costs a lot but saves you a lot of hassle.

I am planning to move to UAE OR Qatar, depending on where i find and get a decent job. I am wondering if i get my degree attested from UAE Embassy, will it be acceptable in Qatar as well for jobs OR do i need to get it attested from Qatar Embassy separately AND VICE VERSA.

Also it is sufficient to have just degree attested ? OR Do i need to attest transcript as well ?

As far as HEC and MOFA attestation is concerned , that is applicable in both cases. However, depending on the country that you are going to find a job, you need to attest your degree from that respective embassy. In order to be safe and if you don't know where you are going to go , I would suggest attesting your degree from both embassies. Qatar's one is cheap. Sasha costs around 800 Rs, while UAE is expensive, and costs around 4000 R.s I guess.

For your second questions, I think most employers want your degree attested , as well as the required offices in the country that you are migrating to. However, it would depend on the job.

Update for those getting attestation in Karachi.

Have got my degree attested from HEC, MOFA and UAE Consulate in Karachi with no issues. HEC Karachi center returned attested degrees within 5 days. MOFA documents were accepted and delivered through TCS within 3-4 days and UAE consulate attested degree via Gerry's in only 1 day with no issues. MOFA Karachi no more accepts documents by hand.

The most important thing is to get through HEC verification. You must ensure to have every single document with even you think it irrelevant. In case of any objection by them, Just be confident and politely explain that the situation was out of your control. This might help them reconsider depending on the severity of the objection.

Attestation Locations & Expenses:

HEC: Rs. 800 for original and Rs. 500 for Photocopy per document.

MOFA: Rs. 25 Stamp tickets (available to be purchased from MOFA Shahrah-e-Faisal). Submit documents at TCS Laal Kothi center. Receive back documents from TCS nursery center. Rs. 200 Charges for TCS per envelope (4 Documents per envelope allowed).

UAE Consulate: Submit documents along with Passport and CNIC Copies with USD 45 Cash per document which want to get attested. Make sure to have fresh and good conditioned $ currency notes as they show no mercy regarding this. Less than $5 note is also not accepted. Rs. 290 payable to Gerry's. Receive documents in 1-2 working days from same place. Gerry's Office is located in PECHS 43rd Street Block 6.

Thanks @rehanpak for updating the latest scenario as i have made it done 2/3 months back therefore i went directly to Misinstry Affairs office now they having an other step to go TCS office ....and for Gerry's Office , i have been offered to collect the attessted documents on the same day in the evening as i submitted in the morning

Well they do raise objections on differences on candidate's name. I had a small issue with my father's name and they returned me back to get father's NIC copy and original then accepted the documents. The only way you can find out is visit them at regional center near PTV station if you are in Karachi.

I have mentioned the complete procedure in this thread. Please go to previous pages. U can get degree attested with HEC without going to HEC. You can send your degree to a blood relative and they can submit. or else you can prepare an Authority letter from Pak consulate and nominate your friend in it.

Please visit this site, Mamooinpakistan.com . I also had the same problem. I live in Saudi. I had to get my degree attested from HEC. My blood relatives those days were busy, and did not have time to visit any office of Higher Education Commission.

I assigned the customer service staff of Mamooin pakistan to complete my attestation task. They completed it and sent my degree back to me in Saudia.

They also provide other services like issuance of duplicate marksheets/certificates, degree and transcript etc.
