Neither. The thing is that the car's a daily runabout so i can't keep i garaged for a ouple of weeks waiting for a sensor. That coupled with the fact that the aftermarket for the J18 is very limited albeit expensive. It was more my impatience than anything else. Machizmo assured me that he'd get it running just fine and i have no doubt on his abilities.

Common misconception, its not the blocks that take the abuse, its the pistons and rods. if anything, the alloy blocks dissapate heat better, have lighter rnning gear and more suitable for FI in an ideal circumstance. The weakest link for he G16 is the compression ring which tend to give way pretty quick.
