@ TheFaceMan: 4000 plus 700 to my denter for the installation. Still, a good deal in my book.
@ Xulfiqar bhai: Am working on it sir - I suck at most electronics, so am relying on mechanics - I've had 3 electricians tell me not to worry about the wire, its an 'extra' grip
Will continue to look into it though - just to be sure.
@ GTAkreyz: Thanks but that wont fit my car. I'm looking for a B12 cluster - pictured below - thats the one that should bolt on fit in my car with the proper relay wiring etc. (last pic)
@ZEE82: If I did the wiring myself, you would be reading about me in the newspapers and it would probably not be good news..
Update:
Did a tune up - cleaned the injectors, replaced the air filter, and installed new NGK plugs. The car no longer stalls, and is working perfectly, Mashallah.
Also did a 4 wheel alighment which cost 1200 - and installed fitted black seat covers. Pics below.
Changed my battery - had an Exide in there that was past its best - replaced it with the Osaka dry battery 50v - cost 4k after giving them my old battery.
Also, had to redo the exhaust. The engine guys did a temp job when they installed the engine and the exhaust was leaking, so my mechanic replaced the exhaust yesterday --- the entire packaging was redone.
With the new engine, had to do a few things with the AC - needed to re-enforce the pipes, and refill the system. Had the AC guys clean out the system, including the vents while they were at it, then re-charged the AC . Its blowing cold air which is great, as I was a bit worried since my old compressor went with the old engine and I was unsure if the new one worked - but it seems to work great, and is cooling really well - better than the last one.
Tomorrow, I am heading back out to Shershah to look for my cluster, power windows, and mirrors - and rear shocks, as mine are beginning to show signs of wearing out - wish me luck!
