We wish we can have Chevy 350 but for now want to stick with 1UZFE as Not in mood to take direct risk of Chevy motors.
But if this project goes the way we are planing then for sure in future we will be planing for Chevy motors too.

a chevy 350 is pretty cheap - and its basic simplicity and raw brute torque is addictive. You can get a few dozen frum a dubai yard. No need to buy an EFI version, just a basic engine with a slightly mild cam and a good carby and manifold. coupled to a TH350 - and you are in business.

rebuild as you want - you can go all out crazy on those items. The aftermarket tuner scene is 500 times larger than any toyota engine.

A carb chevy small block is way simpler than any fuel injected motor, almost as simple as a 82 corolla motor. The tricky part is to tune the carburetor. You can get tons of aftermarket parts from Dubai, there are catalogs upon catalogs for aftermarket sbc parts.

Go to a scrappie like bandhani, t ejaz or the mitsi guy (Tahir I think) - they can get you a chevy 350 carby engine

Do not opt for the later LS1 engine or LT1 engines - they are expensive, but an old 350 chevy with carby and dissy - pfft - cheap as chips.

True - I tell people that if you cannot tune/adjust a small block chevy - please sell your tools and look for other line of work. It is the simplest of all engines.

The original rochester carby is not hard to tune either.
