A few points:
If we keep on accepting the market reality and keep ourselves hostage to the own looter mafia, nothing will change. These looters will run away if they lose 30-40% of their business, specially 1500cc and smaller cars, it'll make things easier for most buyers if "own" mafia gets kicked out of cars under 3 million.
I never said don't buy a car when you have the money. Infact in our market its important to buy a car as soon as one's budget allows because prices keep on rising. What I meant was refuse to pay own and take delayed delivery.
Exactly, this is the temptation that needs to be overcome. It'll not matter a single paisa worth if someone's car gets delivered after Eid, and relatives do not see it. Own money is a big price to pay for some hoo haa show shaa.
There is no market reality, we have made it ourselves. Now since things are bad, we will be inconvenienced initially, but it'll be good in the long-run.
So everyone, please, first, do not pay "own" yourself. Second, convince your relatives, friends, colleagues to do the same. See the own mafia looters 2 takkay ke bhookay so called investors run away. They are forcefully adding another person (themselves) to the supply chain, and making buyers pay huge amounts of money unnecessarily.
This trickles down to used cars, I mean when the new Corolla is worth 3.95 million, why the hell should one pay 4.2-4.4 million for used Corolla? Some show shaa some hooo haaa is not worth 500,000 rupees. Infact you are telling the whole world ke wo samne walay neighbour ke betay se pehle car lene pe mai ne 500,000 urra diay.
