I am using Volta maintenance free battery in my car. I had purchased it in January, 2009 at Rs.2800. Currently my battery performance has reduced and may not work properly in winter season.
So is there any way to increase the life of my car battery.
Don't know how much ampere therefore i mentioned the price of battery.

u can not use directly car batteries as they are 12v and these are 6V .....i cant say anything without seeing the crkt.....normally batteries are in series so total 18v......so u have to provide 18V at the terminal where battery is connected at supply card.....

maintenance free batteries also have expiry date and are sensitive like mobile battery..about reduction of performance do check the voltage at battery terminals it should be 14.2V on idle and should remain same at revs......
well i rely on old acid mixed batteries as they are easily repairable...

You can see in the image that only 2 batteries are operating the fan. The third battery is placed in spare battery compartment. The fan is working if both the batteries are placed, this shows series connection and hence we can say that fan is operating at 12VDC.

Furthermore what battery i should purchase for my car? i am asking this question from you as you may have better knowledge about the batteries current market situations.

ooh my mistake......about the batteries
according to senior members of pw and car maker maintenance free batteries are the future and are good too and expensive though

on the other hand i prefer old acid batteries as they are good with heavy sound system and has got longer life but with caution of care and maintenance

Right now charging, cherry on top is that I have only +-14 hours light only load shedding is insane 9-10 hours fixed.

Generators are made for back up in time of trouble not for generating your own electricity.

Batteries cost 400-900rs not bad if they survive a year or more.
