Guys i would like to share that Pakwheels is one of the best or i should say Top of the list websites in Pakistan ever.Tons of info & Practicals,Valuable critics & suggestion i dont think one could get more of it from any other local site.
Yes the activity level has decreased due to which people are loosing interest in the site & its becoming more of a trading area rather then some fruitful discussion .If some plan out like event Calender could be developed regarding some car shows or racing scenes which would keep the members stick to pw.& can we get chating facility in each head for e.g
D.I.Y CHAT IN D.I.Y section etc etc. just to avoid un necessary traffic & only the member viewing a particular head could view the chat.
& sets of restrictions just like a law also bugs can it be controlled ?
lets hope we all start a new era for PW

I have reported post #29 in the following thread. becoz pakwheels does not entertain illicit activities. but nothing was done...... why?
coz hes a senior member and all hesitate to take action against him

Regarding your inquiry about forum moderators; all moderators at PW moderate all forums. We no longer have any section moderators; we did in the past though.

Boy you should seriously find something better to do then fooling people with you owning a 350z , Prado , CL9 etc etc.....you must have pretty big harddrive to store all these cars....and that post was just hilarious...now get a life and start concentrating on your studies because we all know you are failing quite badly boy

If you hover over the question mark in front of the link, it will explain what to do.

In short, all you need to do is add the cars/bikes you own in the Rides section. (click on Rides tab on the top menu > Add a Ride and walah). Then whenever you post, your garage link will show a listing of all the vehicles you have added as your rides.

This should help users in deciding who to ask for help for certain cars.

There are some complications with the location bit, the dev team is working on it to make it possible for users to change their locations themselves.

I cant even remember the last time that I posted on pakwheels. I had been an avid and very regular contributor to the forum, very active member in GTG's and all the other things that pakwheelers were known to do. I left not because of personal problems or lack of time but due to the immature nature of all the new members, they joined up because being on pakwheels suddenly became the cool thing to do and they jumped on the bandwagon without understanding what pakwheels is about.

I have lost count of the number of times I would have to tell people to do a search on a topic that they would flood a topic with. I miss the time where members knew what they were talking about and would give valuable advice to members. In time I just lost interest in trying to correct people all the time. It seemed that all the old members just disappeared and soon it came time for me to disappear as well.

I think you are somewhat right in your observation. However, as it turns out, PakWheels is one of the most popular internet forums in Pakistan. I have so many friends who are PakWheels members, and it is really a great forum for bringing car enthusiasts on a platform. Sometimes, we do observe lack of maturity in postings of some members, but the moderators are very vigilant, and I must say they are doing the job very well. It would not really be possible for the administrators and moderators to keep a check on joining of new members ... but as far as their attitude is concerned, I must say, the mods and admins are doing their job very well.

We surely see a lot of repetitions in topics in the forum. Sometimes, the topic initiators don't take enough pain to find out if there is already a thread running ... on the other hand, some improvement is required in case of search option in PakWheels. We simply do not get desired results .. however, in my case, I search through Google like this Toyota Corolla 2010 Used Cars, New Cars in Pakistan: Buy, Sell and Discuss Cars | PakWheels ... I think we need to see some improvement in search option in the forum.
