I posted a link to sale my Tamron Camera Lens and its filter two days back in Buyers / Sellers -> Miscellaneous Items section. Yesterday there were 58 views on it but right now this link has been deleted from this website. I know that my post didn't violated any of the rules yet it is deleted now.

What I can think that pw site is given to internee administrators who are doing these childish things with user posts. Activities like this will surely reduce visitors to this website. I don't even expect that any administrator will look in this matter. Bad thing for pakwheels.

Please be patient. The verification may take up to 2 working days. Yesterday was a Sunday.

You can disable your old advertisements, and they'll not appear to other users.

@Deadly : testing photo uploads.

In case the photos aren't being uploaded directly, you can always use the insert photo option where you can upload the photo on flickr/tinypic/imageshack and insert the link here.

mods are extremely biased dear......i posted in one thread when that supra guy was arrested when every 1 was praising him that at least be in the lowest state of eeman that at least say it is wrong ... n my comment was deleted without any delay.. can u tell what was wrong in it...

There might be nothing wrong with the actual statement. However at times we have to delete comments to prevent fights which lead to closing threads.

I have just a suggestion.

A bit of a show of power.

Here, unless one notices a certain post by a Mod in his capacity as one, you barely know whos a mod.

If people who are mods are shown to be so, quite clearly with a colored name or given the title ... it would keep things in check. Once a moderator posts in a thread, people automatically calm down seeing authority in place. I say this from experience, myself being a Global Mod at PakGamers for over a couple of years. A bit of show of authority helps keep people in check.

Also makes it easier for people to consult or report something to moderators although the report abuse works good for reporting ...

Also adding a chatbox on the main forum page would be nice.

I would disagree. While I am in favor of a special tag for moderators, I am completely against show of power or snobbish attitude. Moderators are not gods or owner of this site and thus there should never even be a hint of arrogance or superiority in their attitude. Apart from moderating, there implicit responsibility is also to promote this site and ensure management of different chapters which a snobbish or 'Mein wadda' attitude would never allow to be fulfilled. It would infact lead to lower traffic as no one wants to be insulted by a 'mod'. Prime example which I would quote here is of Libra. Despite being owner of this site (and hence the supreme authority over here), he has a very friendly attitude, the prime reason, people are attracted towards this site.

While snobbish attitude of mods may work at PG (and I am sure you know very well whom I am referring to) due to majority audience which are kids, it won't work here, or any other forums for that matter. While PG management may get away with harassing and insulting members, they too would be forced to change their attitude once worthy competition sets in

Talk about trying to take out a grudge ... you agree with my suggestion ... but add up stuff like abusing, insulting, use of power blah blah when I never even suggested that! Kudos to you mate, kudos!

All I suggested was to give a slight show of authority so people really note when they are being warned by moderators. Since you like to compare to other forums, go ahead and compare to other forums ... everywhere moderators and admins are HIGHLIGHTED to be so.

HEY! How DARE you use my thread as an example! MY thread! What has that thread ever done to you? It's just there... in cyberspace, all alone, cold, unattended. And you come along and reprimand the poor thing. It barely has 40 replies. Sure, 39 of them are are off-topic, but still.

No you're right. But as mods, we've got a responsibility to be able to prevent future fights, while still keeping a healthy environment for fanboys cough I mean enthusiasts. And part of that is just not replying in a way that WOULD start off stupid fights where one shows off his familiarity with the "List of Honda engines" or "List of Toyota Engines" page on Wikipedia. If everyone uses a "Check yourself" policy, it'll be easier on all of us.
