Oh for ear aches you need a stronger pain killer, like tablet brufen 400mg AFTER MEALS... Take this twice a day, never on an empty stomach and after a proper wholesome meal. Take it for 2 days and report back here. This is a strong painkiller and must be taken after meals to avoid damaging your food pipe and stomach.
You will start feeling better.

For management of infection, I can't prescribe you antibiotics unless I'm sure it's bacterial. And that's not possible unless I've a look at you.

Do you have a fever? When you were suffering from flu, did you have a cough?

General precautions:
Take plenty of hot fluids, no cold drinks, don't put any ear buds in your ear till the pain goes away. Stay warm.

One of the best threads on PW I must say.
Okay I have a problem too. It is related to Sinus and DNS. My noose looks like bent on one side. Further more I have frequent Sinus pain since early childhood. Now I am 28 years old and the problem still persist. I have been breathing all my life through one nostril only. And its very strange that if right side is blocked then left is open and vice versa. Basically if pressure increases on right side, then left side opens and right one gets blocked and vice versa. It causes a lot of trouble in sleeping because As I change my side, the one nostril pops open and the other gets blocked. I have never breath with both nostrils in my life. I used to think that its normal with every human when I was a child.
I dont have any kind of allergy from any thing. I have tried steam, antibiotics etc etc. nothing works. Is surgery the only answer? I dont want to go for it because I have an extreme phobia of catching some other disease from the tools the surgeon use. Mostly are not properly sterilized.
Has any body else experience the same phenomena ?

Yes this is a common problem and in your case surgery is the best option. You need to consult a good ENT doctor, I know an excellent doctor who has operated on a few of my relatives and they're all satisfied. Unfortunately he's in lahore but if you wish to get an opinion from him PM me, I will give you his contact details.

@ whiteangel. There are multiple reasons for floaters in eye. Kindly be bit more specific. I need to know ur
Age
Gender
Onset of symptoms
Any other diseases that u have ?
Any meds u recently took
Any trauma u experienced
Do I wear glasses.
And last of all u need to get ur retina examined so u have to go to ophthalmologist

A very nice thread indeed.
BTW I have got one of ears blocked after recovering from flu and fever. I had to take complete 6 days antibiotics + other medicines. Looks as if antibiotics have some side affect on my ear. Firstly pain started in my ear then pain relieved but after one day some liquid started to come out of my ear and after this ear blocked.
please note that I dont want to take more medicines. Any DIY for it? Any help?

You dont wanna take medicines, fine but at least go to some good doctor, he will get an xray and tell you whether you have an infection.

I couldn't sleep all night but thank God the pain went away the next morning. Still i completed my course of medicines... take steam if you really want to treat it at home, and with time this blockage will get better. If its not painful, then just wait it out. Rest steam + keep yourself warm

Yes. I am using Inhaller (Xaltide) composition of salbutamole & Bechlomethasone)
Fed up with doctors. Have'nt found a competent one so far regrading respiratory problem

For asthma:
You've to avoid allergens that aggravate it, such as polen, dust, etc. You should know what you're sensitive to and stay away from it. Asthma is also aggravated in flu and infections so take care of yourself, don't expose yourself to too much cold.

You can prevent an attack of asthma by using inhalers (open up your airways which are narrowed by exposure to the allergens) and taking tablets (which prevents the immune reaction which occurs in your respiratory tract) and all these should be prescribed to you by a pulmonologist (lung doctor).
Asthma improves with age in certain people and in some it doesn't.

You should always carry your inhaler with you at all times and get a regular checkup every year or twice a year depending on severity.
Can't prescribe any medications to you here but I've given you a summary,hope this helps

I have had this since my teens. I don't remember when it started. But it has not increased. It's an annoyance rather than a health issue.
I have never taken any medicine nor have I seen an ophthamologist. I don't wear glasses

I asked a GP once and he said its not an issue, live with it. He said it can't be fixed with medication and it requires surgery and its not worth it as long as it does not interfere with your vision.

I was just wondering if this can be fixed with medication.

Flue is recovered sir. Only ear blockage is causing trouble. Thanx
