Q: Universal Claybars or Nanoskin Autoscrub Sponge/Pads?

Ok, now that, that is out of the way, how about using soft or medium grade sponge/pad ?
The car in question was clayed a year back, and its surface is pretty bad now.

I will be claying it, and then following up with compounding, polishing and waxing InshaAllah.
Also, need to consider the future usage, whether a medium clay will be required everytime, or in future, I would need soft sponge?

use medium grade clay sponge. the answer for your second question is that, you dont need to clay everytime, just twice a year but if you you want to check for contaminents after few months, you can test it by wearing shopper in your hand and slide it over the surface if the surface is smooth (means you dont feel any roughness then its contaminent free) if you feel roughness only then you have to clay

I wanted to understanf if a Medium grade clay bar should be required regularly, or a Fine would be a better choice. Say every 6 months.

its been a year now since you clayed your car, so medium grade will be suitable for your car, and it is also suitable for using after 6 months. its not that complicated as you think it is.

good, keep the surface and pad lubricated as much as possible, dont let the pad dry, once you do the section, clean the pad with microfibre towel and continue working

shampoo is not good enough for lubrication as it drys quickly, i use nanoskin glide or some quick detailers

As per 10:1 ratio, you suggest using about 600 ml lube for a car.
Of course, these are estimations.

So I have gone ahead and ordered a Nanoscrub medium clay pad and concentrate lube. Now starts the waiting game.
