With the emchanical condition your cars generally are in. Better sort all that first before doing any swap. Namely, braking, suspension, air conditioning. That to in a way that common people do not do. Doing ragrai on discs is not enough. MR swaps are only done in Xtrail so far.

Do learn about YD22 as well. you might have a customer for that

Great idea. With you having so many contacts there in Pindi, please help me out in sourcing this engine YD22, as far as I know, it also comes in X-trail, the DDTi one, with intercooler. Would be a heck of a job

hmm - I want to ask a question here.

why in the world was I the person who always got handed

1 car with powerpack installed (powerpack = engine + trans)
2 ECU in a bag
3 assorted scrap yard wiring connectors and sensors in a bag

Not one inch of wiring.... (I mean pull out tape measure, make a nice loom, pack it up, clip it down, make sweet looking connectors (My OCD working overtime)

WHY? Even the full loom engines had sabotaged wiring - I once had a wiring loom that was cut very smartly at random places, Not the whole trunk but just one or two wires, Had to tone out the breaks.
