Yeah. A engine block wouldn't let a bullet go through easy. There's bigger bangs happen inside the chamber.

Don’t buy the parts from Honda, your repair bill will come down. Honda BRV doesn’t have safety systems installed to avoid an animal on the road. Google “moose test” to find out what I am talking about.

1st of all, extremely sorry for your loss, however, its great to know that everyone is fine and alright, and no damage was done with regards to injuries or further severe issues.

To my surprise no air bag opened

Airbags get opened / deployed under certain particular conditions and defined set of rules. Hitting a dog at 120 kmph might not be one of them.

2ndly, if seat belts aren't properly fastened, then airbags can bring harm than goodness.

I think it has got nothing to do with the poor quality of car. Bumpers of cars are made of plastic material now to cater for such incidents.

They might have more safety features and better build quality, however, if any such car would have met the same situation, its fate would also had been the same.

Why we are missing the crank and engine overhaul here? We're all talking about body damage what about engine? A dog was able to send the impact to bullet proof engine?

That should be the point of discussion
But here people are only praising Honda and their quality

agreed. that can be a straight rip or that dog caused the oil pan to hit the crankshaft somehow

The crank got damaged? How? Did the AC compressor fly off and hit the crank pulley? Better get it checked from another workshop. Honda is down on funds and they are looting anyone who walks into their shop

How is the crank shaft damaged? If it's just the crankshaft belt pulley it can be replaced without opening the engine on most cars. Just get second opinion from an engine mech

See, this isn't our department as we are not automative accident investigators... But what I can see is dog hit something in front of car probably condensor and radiator which ruptured the oil chamber cavity damaging the crankshaft. That's why we can see oil spill.

OP is hiding something or he has been ripped off by Honda.

I can see in the pictures; oil or coolant leaking under the car. If the car was kept running or OP continued the driving at high speed after coolant or engine oil leak. It could easily destroy the engine or transmission.

How does OP know that the dog was alright? Did he get it checked from a doctor? On a lighter side. Don't pick on me.

PKDM Honda machine can be fixed with new parts without any problems. I can safely assess there is something more then what is detailed here.

Just a simple Question. Honda Abbott, Abbottabad is very efficient and provides 3S services along with their mobile workshop. was it not easy to get the initial repair/assesment done by them and later get the second opinion from Lahore as the accident took place at Hazara motorway?

I feel sorry for all that happened to you. My advice is that you should source all available parts from local market. I am sure you will be able to get most of them at almost half the cost quoted by Honda.
You might as well be able to get some from old parts market. Honda pricing strategy is pathetic.

In all of these incidents no severe damage to the cars were observed as in the case of OP's.

Sir its better not to comment when u dont know the whole story from the pics u can easily see the dog settled nicely in the bumper area and when we took him out he ran to the other side of the highway jumping the motorway partition and u know how high those partitions are hence it means the dog had enough energy to jump and run even after getting hit by the car on 120 km per hr.. and why would i hide stuff. If u dont knw the whole story its better to remain silent. Like u said no offence..

No as the assessment takes time when damages like this occur itll take days plus part shortages plus insurance was available so im a lahore resident so i choose lahore
