for them - lotsa grease = lotsa good.
remove it, open the boot, clean it out, fill with 90 gm CVJ grease - slide boot, remove air from boot - crimp collar - and let it roll.
it was so much that it was falling off the axle. i have got new boots for the joints. they say "union motor company" and "made in Japan". i found no such company on google. How do i know that the boots are good enough.
the boots for the steering rack came with two zip ties while the cv joint ones had metal clips
they are probably made in badami bagh
Lahore rubber on Montgomery road has some good quality stuff.. you just need to push him otherwise he will give you their normal running items
you can also take a bite or two to taste the quality of rubber
Why you used the tools sized in metric units, the place u live have the legacy old system to measure.
Is it in order to respect the car that came from a more civilized place?
yup i remember that rubber house discussion, my brother got these without asking me, infact he had a colleague bring them
these new boots are shiny like the surface of the new bubbly chocolate
The car is made in germany - and is built with metric sized fasteners, however you can substitute for some legacy sockets, e.g. the 16mm bolt heads for the calipers can be tackled with a 5/8 socket because most mechanics lack a 16mm shorty socket and only have a spark plug socket which wont work due to length clearance, a 13mm bolt head can be dealt with a 1/2 inch socket or spanner but on others the fit becomes either too loose or too tight with smaller sizes, for larger sizes it gets very very close in imperial and metric.
