Quick D.I.Y. Installing Cover on New Corolla's ECU

the ecu shown in ur pic and that in mine looks alike so I think It should get fitted over ur's ecu.

it amazes me so much that how cheap these car companies think, if this cover was necessary in the car it should have provided by the Toyota by default. If we consider that if Toyota makes this piece of little plastic it wouldn't had cost it more than a RS 20 per piece.

Even the slot where u can fix the cover over the ecu using a nut bolt is also there but sadly no cover.

Sir I got it from Tehkal Peshawar. If it is aval in peshawar it must be aval in pindi/isloo n other cities.
Ask any auto store about COMPUTER COVER for new corolla

No doubt you have searched a thing which is mostly needed in New Corolla due to its "Open Mind" CPU which is vulnerable to water and dust and heat too. I really appreciate your effort. The new CPU costs about 90K and Toyota is very happy to place the CPU inside engine bay to get more and more profit from poor customers.

Please tell me the exact name and place of shop from where you got this.

Sir I got it from Peshawar Thumbwano mor near Airport Runway. There is a small auto market which usually got shops of security alarms n other car assesories. The place is at walking distance from toyota froniter motors.

I asked the same query to the guy there at toyota n his reply was negative. According to him nothing such gona happen, infact the cover will also protect the ECU from the engine heat inside the hood.

can u please put [pics of ur gli i wanna see that new green color properly:)

i think this is isnt good to put unit in bay,, sounds more like economic reason
,,, i had my car ecu undernealth the centre console so a/c should keep it cool.. back then factory was installing them in side panels ahead of front doors inside passenger compartment in GT.

Very MEAN DIY and worth every second spend on covering that thing left naked by Local Moron's.....!! It should Be Nicely Covered So That water or Any Moisture can't get inn...!!
B.t.w its really a cheap way of saving cost ......... Installing an ECU In Bay....!!
