Quirky spotting

Hi guys, I will be uploading interesting vehicles I spotted in Pakistan. It won't necessarily be flashy as I didn't see much lol or modded it's more of a head turner to those who are keen to attention to detail. I hope ya'll enjoy this thread and be adding cool stuff.

I will be adding stuff in chronological date order so I will be starting with:

The so called fortuner killer 2021 'camouflaged' Kia Sorento spotted in Karachi toll plaza at 13 Jan 2021. Folks I was excited for this thing as there was not really a competition so it was very interesting to see an upscale 7 seater. I thought this thing would be a success as it would be cheaper than fortuner and divert some people from fortuner seeking comfort. However it's complete opposite lmao. I clearly remember me and my dad went to dealership at March, really liked the car, but they were literally ready to handover keys and variants were very and still confusing lol. Handing over keys was the biggest red flag lol and thankfully we didn't get it lol.

Fast forward to 23 Nov, I spotted this at you guessed, Karachi toll plaza... I kept laughing as I saw it for the first time as most of us never seen like that. Like he went really far for the weight reduction. Should've drag race him lol.

Here comes the spicy October of 2022 where I've seen 2018 GMC Yukon XL Denali at Jinnah Avenue Bahria Town Karachi. Folks it made my jaw drop to see in Pak and to see it with my own pair of eyes. I literally stalked the vehicle and I got to found out it was for sale and imported by Gulf Motors Karachi and their demand was 53 Million which was quite surprising for me as it was cheaper than the LX570 while being bigger displacement. I wish it was available in right hand drive configuration then maybe we would see here and then just like Patrol. Or maybe the humongus size would be a no no lol.

I'm out here for shopping at Imtiaz Bahria Town Karachi and I got to see a random LC105 from Bahrain at 20 Oct 2022. Weird vehicle choice to bring here to be honest lol. Nothing too fancy apart from barn doors, 80 series Land Cruiser's chassis, Dual fuel tank (140L), Stick shift and crank windows lol.

This is possibly the most weirdest one. 2005 Ssangyong Chairman casually parked at PSO BTK-1 Bahria town Karachi at 9 Nov 2022. I was just passing by and had a glance and my mind was like hmm that's not normal. Turned over and indeed it was true. Now I've seen some Stovic over here which is an alien looking thing itself and being abused by most of the owners. But who in the right mind decided to import this? I had so many questions that I wish I could meet the owner. Vehicle was looking pristine.

Here's Abu Dhabi's Toyota Land Cruiser VXR 200 at 18 Nov 2022 roaming the streets of Bahadurabad. Nothing interesting apart from having big daddy 3UR 5.7 instead of 1UR 4.6 available for Japan as well as seeing over here commonly.

At 11 Nov 2022, I was just getting out of college and this LC100 pulled up. Thought this is the perfect moment as literally everything was 'same'. Both were same 2006 model year as said by the dude sitting in the car when I asked nicely. I found it to be cool overall.

Here's LC100 from Qatar from 10 Dec 2022 at Speed Up Cars, Bahria Town Karachi. Most boring I've seen tbh. Only plates and some GCC spec touches makes it somewhat interesting.

Best start of 2023 is by Toyota Land Cruiser 60 at Kheyaban-e-Iqbal road. This vehicle is wonderful to look at, gives such an classic vibes and looks big. It was clean too

Here's Qatar's government I believe Toyota Hilux spotted in wild. Was really sus truck as it seemed to be here longer than usual and the plates made me even more doubtful. Don't know the story is, neither wanted to dive in...

This made me excited! This is Toyota Celsior aka Lexus LS430 spotted from Cygnus also aka LX470 at 26 Oct 2023 in Mai Kolachi Bypass. I liked it was not in pristine condition but it seemed like it was daily driven which is super cool.

This is not your average prado. This is actually an Indus import 2018+ Toyota Land Cruiser Prado at Shahrah-e-Faisal 20 May 2024. Like someone actually paid ridiculous Indus pricing for this I couldn't believe it. But man it's worth it as it's much better than JDM counter part, however the crazy difference of price does not justify hence me getting excited to see this rare version lmao. This has 3 zone climate control meaning seperate vents for rear passenger. Cool box. No stupid cruise control 110 speed lock like JDM. And last but not least crawl control which is probably never and not going to be used. Oh did I mention 1GR 4.0? This is the true sleeper folks, most of y'all would not notice 90%.

comparing this to a Land Cruiser or LX is an insult to the Toyota brand name. The Land Cruiser/LX is the global benchmark for ruggedness, while a GMC Yukon is basically an american sized station wagon that is lifted and is made to get doodh doubleroti from a store, get coffee at starbucks drive through with stay at home moms in the driving seat.

And btw - this would probably have the 6.2 engine not the 5.3 and being that it has that and its probably specced for american fuel (probably bought super cheap at some auction site in USA) - its going to get very interesting for the new owner, doesnt matter if the ask if 53 million or 53 paisa only.

This is called a rolling frame, This configuration is sold from the factory and is on its way for its "coachworks" shop where they will build a body on it.

Good thing the guy is wearing a full helmet otherwise he would end up with enough dust and insects in his hair that you could hire the national geographic team to film a nature documentary in there.

Here's one of the most unsuccessful car I've ever seen. 2015 Suzuki Kizashi spotted on 11th July at Korangi road cruising casually totally slept. I love how it blends with traffic while being a bizarre road machine to some.

Here's 1996 Toyota TownAce spotted on BTK Jinnah Avenue at 15th July. You don't really see this non commercial version of Hiace except maybe up at North. It was really in showroom condition Mashallah giving me vibes of 2000s. It came with some cool stuff such as ice fridge and hot box, powered curtains, real 4x4, and I think it also had coffee maker.

Ok now that’s the most weirdest thing I’ve ever seen It’s like made by 5 different manufacturers with sedan’s front slammed on it. It’s SsangYong Musso btw and I totally had no idea this existed. Had so many questions was even more puzzled when I saw Chairman. Now I wanna see Actyon hehe. Am I the only guy who has seen every SsangYong of Pakistan lmao?
