in my view, you should have gone for the flush first and then the head/gasket etc work. Now that you have done the head gasket work already, i am not sure if you should go ahead.

I agree with @krafiq. Phase 1, then change the head gasket, run with distilled water and a cheap coolant for 5-7 days to check if there are any leakages. If all okay, then proceed to phase 2.

Its called cavitation, coolant has additives to prevent this.

Some foaming will always show up with plain water and open radiator cap.

yes, that is cavitation from the spinning water pump impeller on a zero pressure system (open cap). To test for headgasket leak get your mechanic to do an exhaust gas test on the radiator cap. (your ustaad type wont even know what this means)

Very common diagnosis I've seen ustaads do - fill a radiator with water, then look at the bubbles and say "gas kit leak hay."

OP, beware. Use coolant, not water. I don't know if there's anyone who has it, but the combustion leak test is to check for exhaust gases making their way into the coolant - it's a fluid that lightens in color if exhaust gases bubble out of the radiator. Of course, like Xulfiqar said, nobody will have that here.

So i let it run on rust and not convert to coolant until october (that is when i plan on getting head replaced or maybe even later as seeing how things are going.) Did you watch the video i uploaded earlier? I also checked the coolant reservoir and there was a bunch of brown murky water which i drained and replaced.

yes that brown water is actually rust mixed with water. You will find it often. Anyways, delaying till october shouldnt be an issue in my opinion. But the earlier you do, the better it is because water inside the cooling system will continue to rust the system. I guess you got the radiator cleaned as well. It will get rusty again.
