I'm still not clear about this, as water from the inlet hose (top radiator hose) goes into the radiator (coolant coming from inside the engine block) goes through rad, cools and from the lower radiator hose goes back into the block. So will this me some sort of reversal of the water flow? Won't that damage the water pump?
According to this diagram I was under the impression, that I'd just unhook the hose in the red encircled area and let the water come out while simultaneously running water through a garden hose into the lower radiator hose, so clean water would be going through the block and the water would the come out clear and this way the radiator would be bypassed hence on debris getting stuck in rad. I'd do this while the car will be idling so the water pump would help clear everything out.
This is what my heater connections look like, so if I do as you say, heater pipe connection which is the one going into the intake manifold or the metal pipe coming in directly from the water pump?
This is the heater connection in my car
So what I've deduced is I'm supposed got put a garden hose into either the intake manifold inlet or the metal pipe directly from the water pump inlet to flush out the block? Not sure?
