For all those who are suffering from such problem.
Get steering column checked and replace it. Stealerships are running away from a warranty claim.

Tuk tuk noise on rough road or over cat eyes at slow speeds is a steering column. It comes from the lower side of steering wheel.

brother tuk tuk noise coming from left and right sides outside not from inside...column change still noise is there.

Corolla altis 1.6 is EPS so no leaks in steering rack.

Crick crick noise. That comes often in my car as well. Toyota wasn't able to diagnose it. Mostly it comes on small steel speed breaker. I guess its due to z link but not sure.
Its not a bush.

I was having same problem..... it is steering inner rack end metal bushes.... force them to remove complete steering assembly and put new bushes.... steering column bushes and cross will also be inspected along with.

The warranty guy told me at that time " Sir ye har 3rd / 4th Grande mein issue aaya hai.... we have changed so many columns. Aap time nikal kar aein".

Although i sold the car within initiation period but i got it, the problem you are getting....

Low speed when crossing over a CAT eye or small pebble type bumps it gives minor thuds in the steering wheel...

Mark my words 100% and do post your feed back.....

Z links, ball joints, control arms / Tie rod ends sounds diff

I also faced same issue. Checked steering wheel column..tie rod...suspension...but after checking all this found culprits...Z link... replacement done and sound gone..cat eyes are even worse than pathholes for this damage

How much your car driven at the time of Z links replacement..... i experienced this sound starting at 8000 kms approx.

Yes and surprisingly i am happy with it... it is clocking near around 30000kms.... all going well....

Grande had a lot of issues.

1. Thud sound from steering.... 100% sure it was steering column bushes.
2. Elfi type sloution driping marks inside left head light.
3. Leather rite both front seat errosion flaking off found during initial 2000 kms.
4. CVT whistling sound since brand new.
5. Misalligned trunk lights.
6. Glove box shock absorber broken at the time of delivery.
7. Loose front grill chrome.
8. Noisy wobbling general tyres which i replaced.

Not even a single claim addreseed by indus despite notifying them. I sold it when it was 7 months old 14000kms driven.

In Turbo till now:

1. Chrome handles found rough replaced under warranty easily.
2. Inside door handles replaced under warranty after update easily.
3. Rear inner trunk plastic around the lock not accomodated under warranty.... repaired its broken clip.
4. Noisy BG luxo replaced.
5. Nav unit software updated FOC 2 times.

I feel civic had petty issues most of them resolved by Atlas if compared with Corolla.

The main thing was knocking. It was a diff kind of experience not like regular knocking in other NA car engines. It was like shunting / restricting acc paddle with metallic tick sound with engine restricting power.
I experienced it may be 8 to 10 times till 8000 kms from june 2017 delivery till Sep 2017 after that the software patch loaded in the ECU resolved and since than knockingvis history even tried and tested on regular fuel , i really forgotton it, all OK Mashallah but my company gave me fuel so i used to put HOBC in it and in my Grande too before.

I don't have Grande but I have 2D saloon 2009...I replaced it for the first time at 90k odo9

Yea 90k is the milage in Pak where most the suspenaion parts needed replacement which is normal but 5k not

Well I think you are talking about pre facelift grande because new Grande's have Yokohama advan db

Yes Pre FL... with Auto climate control, imid and Auto folding mirror with Dark grey colored RIMs...

They aren't Advan dBs. Look again, they are Yokohama A460
