Excuse me dear firstly you are not a owner of a storm125 and actully you dont know about this bike and as mamehmmod told you before there is no bike in rawalpindi CSD now. may be that bike was stand in open air and no one was care about that and thats why the bike got some rust on it and as far as bikes meterial concern there is no problem in it even this is better than other brands like honda, yamaha and suzuki thats why we are switch from other brands and every body know that everyone is importing parts from china so dont blame Ravi-Paiggio and give some respect to seniors. hope you will understand what i want to say so you should have to end your CSD topic.

I also went there yesterday.
this bike is still standing there with a hundered of other bikes and neither of the other bikes handle bars are getting rust except this one. Why???
Poor chrome work and low quality parts.

what a pity that inspite of owning this bike you dont see that its chain cover is not properly fitted and not covering the chain.
I wanted to end this topic and i did, but why do you want to prove that I am a liar, as I am not and the bike is still standing there.
have some heart and try to face criticism positively. ok

Unfortunately I have not seen a Storm yet, but I would like to comment generally on what you have written in the last post.
I bought a Suzuki GS-150 last year and it had quality issues (minor, as we are in Pakistan) which I mentioned in GS-150's thread, it did not have any visible problems when I bought it. I had to change one of the front forks within a few weeks. The exhaust pipe had rust on it within two to three months. The speedometer drive assembly in the front hub has design defects, and mine stopped working three times. The chain cover does not cover the chain completely and I have to oil the chain every 500km or so.

So, coming back to Storm, there is a motorbike standing somewhere and it has rust on its handlebar, good, no one will buy that machine after seeing the rust, it is the problem of the seller. The seller should fill a warranty claim form and have the rusted part replaced, if they don't do it, then it means thay are not interested in selling the machine. So, if they are not interested in selling the machine, then what is your objection?

Quite a few members have at least seen Storm and a few own it, so if they say there is no rusting problem on the handlebars or other parts of their bikes, it means it is not a general quality issue on all bikes.

i am also STROM 125 owner, last bike i own that is HONDA CD100 jo MAY2005 main li thi or 3.5year 30,000km use ki hay wo b jub ak din office k bahir BARISH main rahti thi to us ki b kafi parts per rust lag jata tha us ko dry cloth say dry kar lo to thek hay warna asy hi use kar lo to fix ho jata tha so care is important aghar chez ki care na karoo to as h ho ga jasay ap nay pic send ki or CSD shopp per kisi nay us ko kabi saf nai kiya ho ga OR ak BAAT CD100 say phalay maray pas HONDA CG125 tha jo 1.5 year us kiya tha us ka b same problm tha pani say RUST or ak chezzz us say PHALAY maray pas YAMAHA 100 1987 JAPANI model tha us k sath b asa h problm tha ajh kal pakistani market main jo model hain un ko RUST lagna zarooori hay ap nay jo kaha k or bikes ko nai laga to ap ko un ki PICX b compression k liyah post karni chayah thi

i am much happy with this bike becoz i have driven different bikes 1994.

I haven't seen any bikes handle bar getting rusty like this way. This bike is standing with 200 other bikes in open area, but why this bikes handle bar, because of poor chrome work.

Congratulations to new owners if they are not facing any such problems, but I can bet that out of 50, 10 or 15 will certainly face this problem.

Whatever you ppl say and give reasons I wont agree with that.

Even if I agree with you guys that poor quality of parts is nomral, poor chrome work is normal, chain cover problem is normal and poor quality control is normal, one can not simply get away by saying that there is no bike standing at CSD.

Its so childish.

Why not agree that this bike is a complete import from china and is sent to the market even without being checked for easily visible defects, like I mentioned in pictures(look at front shocks mounting pics and the gear pedal.)
That is not negligence of the seller, neither it was done by me).

I dont want to spoil this piaggio selling campaign, but I am really hurt by the words that there is no bike standing at CSD and the story of the engineeer going to check bike, making me a complete liar.

If an engineer can go to RWP from LHR to check the handle bar rust, cant he or some of its technician can check the bike before leaving the warehouse premises.
Even a non-technical person can check that.

There was a free Ravi check up at CSD on 9th and 10th of February.
This bike was standing there till sunday.
I would request some good pakwheel member from Pindi/ISD reading this topic to check and confirm if its still standing there (if not returned back) to atleast confirm my words.

the effort we started is working. we are successfull in making a good repo of our bike. althought i am no more part of the company, but i still enjoy the forum as my cousin has also puchased storm 125.

pls note the Shengwei/PZ-26 is a Chinese origin Carburettor which is an equivalent of Mikuni VM-22/24 (Japanese origin).
i doubt if rest of the parts are from Itlay.
keep in mind i have my experience with kawasaki ke-175, kawasaki ke-100, yamaha enduro dt-100, dt-175, yamaha rx-125, rx-115, honda-175, cd-185, cd-200 (road master), honda xl-100, honda cg-125, yamaha yb-100, kawasaki gto-125, honda mb-100, honda h-100s, honda-70, honda-50, jawa-250, triumph-350.

all above listed motor-cycles are still remembered for their standards and reliability.

my point of view is promotion of any product should be done honestly, the origin of it disclosed truthfully.

in case of bmw, merc, toyota, etc., they manufacture their critical parts at their own facility/plants. they go out side country only when labour is cheap and there too they set up their plants with their own brand name. even the oem (original equipment manufacturer) has to stamp parts with the name of the client who already had certified the part for its quality standards.
in short the end user should not be deceived in any way in order to expect big sales as this will soon bring a bad reputation for the investor.
