dont worry about the top speed ,if u want more top speed u have to compromise on fuel consumption means when bike is responding quickly and achieving better top speed its air fuel mixture is very high so millage u got from petrol would be less,so better set a carb or air fuel mixture at optimum level so that top speed would be 100 and fuel consumption would be 50km/l,and those who says they are getting 55km/l and stiil achieving 125km/hr,please dont exaggerate soo much,i own this bike and its giving me around 50 km/l but top speed is 100,but im totaly satisfied with it,as its not the racing bike

Exactly.. After a tunning i told the mechanic to slightly increase the fuel as iam not getting good speed, and the result was drastic loss of mileage.. So i set it again to optimum level and enjoy topspeed of 110km/h with 45KMPL .. And when i rich the fuel mixture i get around 120-125km/h with 36kmpl

Is your Ravi Storm Self Start Still Working?
Have you faced any problem with self start?

yes self start working flawless,in early moarning just one self and bike starts without choke,i once changed the bettry bcs the older one has completed its life.it dosent had enough power to start so changed the betry with national and till now its working excellent

this bike needs maintenance and care,if u ride it likr racing bike and abuse it,then it hurts u too,im riding it from last 2 years the only problem i found in this bike is poor qualities of wires used in wiring and also the clutch cable and throttle cable else its a good stylish and fuel efficient bike,50km/l is far better for 125cc,

So this shows self starts are reliable and they are not that weak as people rumours about them
I don't know about other chinese bikes but ravi self start seems good
i have asked same question of self start from other ravi owners vickytulla & silver_knife
they also said it has been working brilliantly and vicky's Storm is 2009 model
so it is really good to know that self starts work well for long time

Every bike needs care and with care they serve well
Ravi should look after those quality issues such as wiring and those cable issues

No doubt R. Piaggio seriously needs to consider thier quality control management. Especially when they have raised the price.

yea working for me.. jis din self ny kaam chora mujhe tu dhaka ligana per jana hai lolzz and plus its rainy days ... hope for the best!

by the way , I met one PBC senior member Umair (i dont know by which name he is on PW may be 7thgear can tell), in a PBC meetup when moin Khan left on Paiggo 62' Model scooter.
Umair owns a storm 09 model as well his self starter was also rolling but due to bad setting carb bike needed long self or need to kick, but other then that his bike was like brand new, I dont have any idea how he kept it so neat and clean our the course of time.. even his side mirrors were genuine which I broke off in early ridings ... lolzz ...

according to me the worst thing about Storm now is its extremely expensive spare parts, because now every spare part is available but very expensive.

So this shows self starts are reliable and they are not that weak as people rumours about them

and you are ahead in mileage I am at 32k right now!! but I will surpass you because I am planning some long trips in coming pleasant Months .. as summer is about to End!

Umair: I got chance to see your bike and like the way you have maintained it. Its 09 model but seems a brand new bike after 32k driven without any single scratch on paint and chrome. Love that little ride to pick and drop at Zahid Bhai's place
