Ravi piaggio storm 125 vs honda cg125 dlx

Agree, both are from same class.
Now I own both, and love the comfort of Paiggo...

But still man Honda ki pik achi hai (talking about old model 4 gear) and I guess it is because it is relatively light weight then Deluxe and Ravi that's why it accelerate so well. Today is my first day with Storm/CG comparison and we spent all day on ROADS .. (H)(H)(H)

Secondly @abobobilly there are manufacturers whos stock 125 class (4 strokers) which go beyond 130 - 140 even HONDA has a CBR - 125 see my previuos post in this thread, Yamaha has R15 [India] and many other just google and get amazed, so we just cant say that both bikes are from same class and their is no need of comparison wrong totally wrong... Actually WHEN BIKES ARE FROM SAME CLASS THEN WE ACTUALLY NEED A COMPARISON TO FIGURE OUT WHICH IS THE BEST... as far as I see in Honda and RAVI both have their pros and CONS and this THREAD IS VERY USEFUL FOR ANY new comer who wana buy a 125 can make one good decision after joining this thread like me :D:D:D

You completely ignored the words i wrote in my last post about PAKISTAN and TECHNOLOGICAL REGARD. Pakistan say bahir to bikes ki baat he nahin kar raha. They use Digital Carburettor while we are still struck with Slide Carbs. If that alone is not enough, then the emission standards i.e. EuroII which is introduced in Pakistan NOW (for about last 3 or 4 years).
CG-125, Ravi Piaggio, Deluxe, they dont differ much as far as the engine is concerned. Just making the engine bore deeper to increase hp and adding 5 speed gear box doesn't make much of a difference. We are still far behind than abroad countries.

And this 'discussion' you guys have been doing lately, this will not help any new comer in any way. Instead it will mess up a sane mind easily. Why? Because all you'll see here some FANS or LOVERS saying this is best & that is best or my GS-150 is best of both worlds.
So the question arises what exactly are we doing here @ PW.
Answer will be Showing Love for their Ride.
(i am not saying this doesn't help users at all ... ofcourse there are still people here who post with solid words)

yes man pakistan lag far behind in tech Advancement, and yes GS 150 is ahead above if u say so I dont own it I have no idea...

They dont introduce EFI becuase it will increase the bike cost which will reduce bike sale I guess, becoz PK market is not that hot on bigger bikes u know.

for purchasing storm , and its in a very good condition ,
regarding cg 125, i always say it has the highest pick in 125 class, u can c all my posts , and i also posted the reason , thats is its lighter weight and slim tyres as compared to storm /deluxe , so there is no bug here
and yes i live in lahore and sure we can meet on any weekend , u can contact me , just to know each other and show our bikes

@umer!! About time you stop taking sides brother. I've seen maximum comments from you in which you DRASTICALLY disliked CG-125 and all the love remained for Piaggio. Infact, you were the one who said k Deluxe 90km/hr se uper nai jata, which is a false statement. True for a brand new bike, because the tappets settings + fuel mixture is just not right for the bike to make it go beyond 100km/h.

i dont care if cg 125 has highest pick , even if it has the highest top speed
the thing that scares me the most is its vibrations @ 80+speed and lack of control ,
so if any1 hates storm than go for deluxe or even gs 150 , coz they have the edge in all the factors i posted
regarding my claim of top speed of deluxe ,
im talking about new deluxe wit 5 gears, i dont know abt the old one but i have personally met many persons + seen videos if it hardly touching 97 -100 km/h max , u can c the video in my older post
rpms @10000 at the speed of 97, wat else can u think it can go further ?

but Engine wise I dont compromise at ALL.... ye tanky Tappy not orignal that is why I dont care.. orignal are kept safe and sound...

can anyone tell me if dlx rear brake is same size as that of cg125 classic. i know that classic cg125 and cd70 have same rear brake. but i do not know if cd100 and cg125 dlx have same brake size as well or bigger. it would make sense to have a bigger rear brake for dlx as its rear tyre is fatter than that of cg125 classic. can anyone give me info regarding this?

BTW let me add I changed the 4 gear transmission of CD 200 ROAD MASTER to a 5 speed gear Box and the results were Astonishing (H) so I fancy about doing that to normal 125 becuase it has more PTW ratio and I guess it will coupe the change but its just a guess ..

Well for 125, you can either Choose
1 - brand new Chinese Alloy RIMS from Standard Bike Market [Mcloed Road] their are multiple shops their, and give at resonable price.

2 - You ca go to Bilal Ganj and find Some Japanese RIMS used condition
which will cost you less and will be little scratchy but you can improve it by repainting them.

I have heard from almost every person who altered bike RIMS to alloy that its a bad Idea, as 125 is onli 10.5 HP and if used roughly it produces few HPs only and if ALLOYS are their then dont mind if 70cc beats you on raod lolxxxx ...
and Finally braking Goes real BAD on ALLOYS, because ALLOYS create their OWN momentum as they are bit heavy (you ill have to upgrade to DISC brake) and finally you end up increasing lots of wieght on a little engine and bike performace is gone...

No bike in Pakistan in these classes have a Rear Wheel Disc Brake. Only Front Wheel Disc laga k laaakh rupay maang rahay hain bike k liye :S

As fas as Modified Disc Brakes in CG-125 are concerned, i haven't seen A single person who modified a CG-125, Ravi Piaggio, or a Deluxe with Rear Wheel Disc. However, there was a person with a Completely Modified Suzuki GS150 who modified the whole bike to a Type R, painted it blue, and installed both Front & Real ALLOYs with Discs.

Also ... another CG-125 i saw at PakWheels whose Front Part (complete) was modified to a Kawasaki GTO's inorder to install Front Disc on it. Again, no rear wheel disc.

Piaggio & Deluxe are coming with Front Discs factory installed. Rear brakes are still Drum Brakes.
