PAF says that their planes didn't break the sound barrier at low flight....

now we must ask IAF and Nato forces....or may be our buddy Mahsud has managed to buy fighter air crafts.....

serously... our governemnt has a habbit of hiding facts from the people.... and if they really dont know the reason for these blasts... then this proves the level of their incompetence....

Reminds me of a similar incident in early 90's when an Indian Air Force Mig entered Pakistan at supersonic speed that caused such huge blasts in Pindi/Isb and adjoining areas.

That's what BBC says too....

dad says it was very loud. But there's no bomb, neither an after shock- so it's either some really obese gentleman passing wind, or it's a sonic boom. Afghan attacks in NWFP cannot possibly be heard from THAT far. And first reports said that the blast was heard from close to the Airport, and windows broke in THAT area.

Any windows breaking or something of that sort in E9 or anywhere in ISB?

If a blast from NWFP broke windows in rawalpindi, then it had to have broken windows in ISB, and the sound (theoretically, therefore) could also be heard in Lahore. What are these guys trying to feed us...?

Dawn News: Bomb blasts heard in Pindi area were caused by PAF's F-7PG.. After overhauling at Kamra AFB they were testing that F-7PG..

PAF dudes also said they didnt know some people are unable to differentiate between a sonic boom and bhum blast.. and that scared the sh*t out of people..

A plane creates pressure waves on the front and back of its body during flight. These waves travel at the speed of sound. But as the plane's speed also reaches the speed of sound these waves are forced together into a single shock wave. This shock wave creates a loud sound i.e sonic boom. At this point the plane's speed is approx 1,200 kph.
