in terms of species , we know of only 3 to exist .

JInnat have this special power to transform themselves into various faces , and a number of times they have appeared in various form as per quran an sunnat .
so sar-kata's , pichal payriis , fireballs , challwaas , are are jinnat at their root levels , just in different forms .
nothing more nothing less .
however , the sarkata thing reminded me of an incident that my grandmother used to tell us , of her childhood . while she was 7-8 years old back in India .
she told that back in india before the partition , in 1930's
it was all rural , and most of the areas were all " sunsaan " the villages were small , no electricity , and it was a ddifferentlife all together back in their village .
she told that one day , her elder brother quarreled with her parents over some issue , got upset , left home , and went to sleep outside of the house near the livestock barns .
now as her brother narrated , that he was all asleep , that in the middle of the night , he herd the voice of some jingles , like the sound of payal / ghungroo's that usually cows wear ... the moment he got up the sound kept on getting faster and faster as if the creature wearing it is running .....
he looked around , and right there near a well , he saw a " SAR - KATA " BULL / SAAND . running round and round the well .... at a distance of almost a 50 meters maybe ...
now those creatures were a common supernatural sight back then , and it was famous in those times that before launching the attack the bull makes 7 rounds . exactly 7 , ( i was told this by my grandmother , what is the source i got no clue at all , maybe its just a myth )
so her brother ran towards his house , the door was open and his mother was there waiting for him ...
he came in at once and locked the door . and told the mother about what he just saw .....
my grandmothers mother iimmediately lit off every source of light inside the house , and told all to kids strictly not to reply if any one comes and calls out for Jabbar . ( my grand mothers elder brother ) .
and my grand mother said she is a witness to it , that just after a few minutes , there was a knock on the door . calling in a loud voice .
Jabbar Jabbar jabbar......... Thrice . all the kids stayed silent ... no one responded ....
and after it was over , their mother told them that this thing would come for three days now . and no kids goes out till three days , and no one responds if in the middle of the night there is a knock on the door and some one calling for jabbar ....
and it happened exactly as she said ...
Three days consecutive , that thing came on the door and knocked , while Jabbar burned in fever .
and after three days it never came back .... and all was fine after dam and durood .
now i have no idea what that creature would be , but these thing were quite common back then . Allah knows best .
