Its always better to warn that family about the haunting because you can't understand the powers of ghosts. I will give you information that can help you understand always stay away from all ghosts,witch craft.

1. see you.They can pin point your position to their witch craft owners.
2.Hurt you in various ways.
3.Cause trouble,fight.
4.Can touch you physically like move your body.
5.Ability to cause failure of organs(cause deaths).

Ghost cannot always be stopped by use of Quran,prayers. Because even to fight ghosts using Quran you need very high level of faiths and there are very few amils who can fight the ghosts using Quran prayers.Most amils in Pakistan are fake.
If Quran prayers are used rightly, angels come to rescue the person but remember for this to reach the level of angels vs black magicians or ghosts, this involves extremely high level of faith and trust in Allah which sadly very few people these days have.
