the head and block surfaces are supposed to be cleaned with a "brass brush" - not ground down with sandpaper on a pane of glass.

Never use any gasket sealer on the headgasket - its always installed dry and only torque the bolts with a torque wrench/ratchet - do not guess this part specially on a suzuki G10 as its a full aluminium engine. If the engine block surface is corroded to the point that the coolant channels around the cylinder walls are damaged, you need a new engine block. The damage happens from using plain water as instead of coolant.

Find a different mechanic - your current one probably is more versed with sohrab bicycles if he doesnt know what the vacuum pipes are there for and cannot fix the wiring either.

@nnabeel , i went to the soda water wala. He says the sheets can be pasted and dont require heating, but i would prefer heating it too. Do you know of anybody who can heat and paste the sheets? The denter says this isnt his work.

1. Sir, What are the procedures to check that condition is too much such corroded or damaged to that point where coolant channels around cylinder walls are so much damaged that they are causing such issues.
   In that case, instead of buying new engine block, is not any other method there to restore it?

Asif bhai it’s not appealing to see such an old and senior pakwheeler getting butchered by a mechanic and not connecting the vacuum pipes of carburettor

I’m sure you know that they are present there for a reason but how you accepted and started driving the car in such state

Only if it is within limit.

Check it, maybe just bad hose or clamp, or maybe bad thermostat housing aka flange.

No we can't, it is compressed when tightened.

I left that mechanic and did not say anything to him because after his comments, I understand his skills as well as his non-learning approach, it was useless to say something because I know he would not be willing to learn or admit mistake.

I got my sheets installed from this guy , his work was really clean and professional , bas baatain bohit karta hai , or kahaniyan to aisi uff , also i crossed your denter yesterday, your khyber wasn’t there i guess.You can call him.

To check for cylinder block corrossion,

Remove the cylinder head and see for yourself, if the metal is a solid casting around the cylinder bores, and the surface is smooth, you are good

If its eaten away and has compromised so that the sealing surface around the cylinders is very narrow (less than 4mm) the gasket wont hold, you need a new block. (And consider this a lesson to never rely on plain tap water as coolant)

The head will also will have been damaged, if the head has been “faced” again and again, throw it away as its trash now.

rust converter preparation underway (earlier yesterday)

post rust converter pictures (after 16 hours). earlier today morning. almost all area turned grey/black. will go for a wash today and repair some areas where metal sheets are too thin etc.

Nice , why don’t you remove the seatbelts? And also remove the rust , from the place beneath the doors.

yeah the seatbelts would be removed today or tomorrow. The thing you see beneath the doors is not rust, its actually the remains of samad bond used to fix the floor carpet.

Daamar sheets installed. The guy charged 7k including a sheet in the trunk as well.

However, there was some sunk cost too. i had purchased 7ft of daamar sheets from Soda water wala at PKR400/ft, but the denter was unable to install it properly despite giving it heat and flame from different directions. So those sheets are of no use now, unfortunately.

why the centre is misses and the sides on the foot well. these should also get covered with sheets. have u sprayed primer before application of sheets?
