Kindly guide that if factory fitted material quality is not available or costly then what should users do for:

Sound dampening
Rust protection
Heat dissipation

For rust protection, what about old method utilizing in "puraani Kaali peeli Taxis of Karachi" of spraying Zinc oxide/ Red oxide? Old taxi owners as well as old truck/Trollers specifically do it near under carriage areas/ wheel arch areas/ bonnet inner areas

ahan. i see. Guess I will go ahead. I am in general very particular about the usage of car in rainy weather etc., so apart from the weather related affects of rust, water intrusion itself wouldnt be too much of a problem. In any case, I will get the undercarriage and the floors inspected after a year or two to see the condition.

I agree with Zulfiqar on the pads thing. The texture of the material i myself bought from sodawater wala was more or less the same as 3M's product (a bit thick and soft to absorb sound), but since the guys were unable to paste it properly, I had to take the alternate route. These sheets are relatively thinner and not as soft (to be able to absorb sound).

Brought the car to the electrician on Wednesday. Later on went with him to Shershah to purchase cables.
He said there are two options: 1) either we go with local wires which would cost ~PKR7-8k and would be of lower quality than the original ones, 2) or we buy used ship cables from shershah which are genuine, less prone to carbon resistance and cheaper as well.
being sold at ~PKR1550/kg, we bought a total of 3-3.5kg multi-colored wires. Next up is the purchase of relay box of Vitz

i went personally to plaza and arambagh to purchase ferrules, lugs, heat shrink sleeves, zip ties etc. and handed over to the electrician. Purchased left side headlight Taiwanese from Eastern Motors at PKR5.5k. 55/60W bulbs as well of Osram company at PKR600 each.

when ur car is finalized with paint, do proper sound dampening. use namda on the wall behind the dashbaord area.

use the plastic switche, in all four doors for door light switches.

use the metal one for bonette & diggi as in the attached picture .

Who is your Electrician?
How you bought wire? Just by Kilo or by specs. like 2 mm or 4 mm. ?

bought by kilos. By specs, there were no markings but the width of the wire is the same as previously installed. Any guidance btw here?

Yes, specs. should be followed strictly in electrical wiring. If i remember correctly, Cable from Negative terminal of the battery going to body should be some specified mm. perhaps 8 mm or something like this(I have forgotten) otherwise it can cause issues later on with the passage of time.

Elder Brother of @mustansir44 is Electrical Engineer so he supervised Auto-Electrician and utilized cabling under his guidance as per Factory spec. according to Load .

@hassan1991 is also Electrical Engineer and he can also add his input for further guidance in this regard.

I see you have asked for actual wiring diagrams in other forums too, but unfortunately, i couldnt find one either. Will appreciate if @mustansir44 and @Hassan1991 can help. Since the electrician has started work already, will have to quickly guide him before he makes any mistake.

I prefer welding wires for battery. And Teflon or Tefzel wires for engine wiring. As i used for my car. Both insulator doesn't catch fire and conductor used in them are tin plated. Used worldwide for automotive industry. For example look at the o2 sensor wires.
Gauge depends on length of wire and the amperage going to flow. Online calculators are also available. No need to use too thick wire it's just an extra weight and will be difficult to arrange.
@miqdadkanani You can test the wiring by applying the load and measuring the potential difference between the both ends. Should be less then 0.5v
Let me know the load i will guide you about the sizing.

Thanks Hassan. Really appreciate this. Since I am getting the entire wiring changed, load is pretty much everything (head lamps, self, wipers, etc etc.). Also, its been a while since I last studied physics, lol. Does a normal electrician have that meter to check PD between two points? I need to be really sure before i interfere.
