Are you that naive that you expect used car salesmen to tell you anything resembling the truth?

All I asked was why do people get fooled into buying such cars when there are auction sheets to prove the car’s condition in Japan.

Someone already answered my question saying that the dealers edit the chassis number and other info to a higher auction grade car with similar stats and color.

Those sheets are doctored mostly and 90% of buyers of these cars in Pakistan dont know what those sheets are or how to read them. They are bedazzled by the "japani shahkaar" aik liter mein 75 km wali gaari.

Salesmen tell them that Japani log gaari ko A/C mein rakhte hain aur harr 100 kms baad factory se service karwatay hain. They nod in excitement that they are sitting on the same seats some Made in Japan person farted on.

Do you think people in Pakistan care about their safety? If they cared about safety then Mehran would have been long gone. People still buy 20 to 25 lakhs corolla or Honda city with no airbags and poor build quality. Do you really think people care about that?

People buy 8 airbag cars from japan but buy that stupid "Type R" or "Playboy Bunny" belt buckle to quieten the "reminding beep" to fasten their seat belt because seat belts are for "burger" people.

No belt buckle - no airbag would work. - Your point is invalid.

In the odd cases airbags and belt tensioners do deploy in a car - the repairs people dont bother replacing them either, just cut the fabric, fool the unit and sell the car to a new owner, rinse and repeat.

Agar Pakistani cars mein airbag aaye ga to repairman airbag lagaye na janab. Jab airbag company se hi nai aaye ga to repairman kahan se lagaya ga? Dusri baat Japanese accidented cars beshak khatarnaak hain. Magr jab log mehran lene sai nai darte to uss se kya khaak darein gein? Airbag buckle wali cheez zaida tar meine passenger wali sides per lagein dekhein hain. Zahir hai ke jab passenger nai hoga gari mein or wo beep karre gi to banda to annoy hoga. Halenke passenger or driver dono ko seatbelts bandnein chaiye.

My point exactly, Whats your complaint of safety and high quality when you are sharing the roads with donkey carts, 70cc solo motorcycles, rickshas and wooden wrecks called buses and trucks - safety regulations are not just for cars but for all motorists and pedestrians

beeper doesnt sound for passenger unless occupancy sensor on seat is triggered. If one is placing a heavy object on the seat yes it will sound, put the cargo in the back or on the floor - Using that stupid illegal buckle is not a solution. Sometimes the fake plastic leather lookalike seatcovers make that occupancy sensor trigger on a lighter weight.

The reason is the "VIP culture" and no check and balance of the law. I get PM and emails from Pakistan asking questions on how to fold the airbag back into the unit or how to fool the system so it doesnt error on a missing air bag. (90% JDM imports and 10% local made ones)

So if a car rolls and it is not repaired and in original form then it's roof wont budge?
If someone sells such car by telling a lie then it is my strong belief that he will be punished by Allah in some other way and the one who has been cheated on will be compensated ,not in the same coin not in the same way but it happens. Child sickness ,family disturbance etc etc money is not the scale always ,as we think.
