Yes indeed, I was pleased and IMPRESSED. Agha Sb. said with a smile lets go for a ride, you are driving. Usually driving a unfamiliar car (even a brand new one) takes a bit of getting used to, but with 'Vixie' everything just falls into place. The smooth pulling power of the straight 6 was addictive. Thanks to the torquey engine there is no need to keep changing gears as frequently as one does in modern cars. Additionally, the suspension's ability to make bumpy roads seem newly paved was a revelation. Agha Sb. warned me to be careful of the brakes but personally I found them to be very satisfactory. Earlier, this car was driven from Lahore to Khajot, (just shy of Muree) and back without missing a beat. WOW!
As with all older cars, there is always a little something or the other needing a bit of fettling, the minor items mentioned above are things to further improve the car's drivability. Most of us classic car owners like Agha Sb. and myself are driven to improve our cars on a continuing basis. This is true for older cars world wide. At times a running restoration may span ten years or more.
Thank you Agha Sb. for a allowing me to experience Vixie first hand. Both, the excellent hi tea with friend and the drive were the high points of my trip.
