Regular Vs Hi-octane

Nope I'm talking about the local one with m13. Its written in the owners manual. Btw the way to know whether your car requires high octane or not is to know what octane no petrol is required for it also known as RON. Regular petrol is around 87 RON and almost all new engines require 91RON. The boost one gets with high octane is because you give the car right fuel and so it performs to its full potential. Its not really fuel giving boost but rather its the engine perfoming optimally.

if you are a swift owner and want to use hi octane use it I am a suzuki liana and once used it in my car and I didn't found any difference in performance and m13a have compression ratio of 9:5:1 and hi octane use in 10:1:0 or higher so i couldn't be used in m13a and share where in the manual it written that we should use hi octane

Well I have already sold my swift so I dont have owners manual now, you can ask any fellow pakwheelers to post the page for you. And there can be many reasons why you didn't feel any difference. Did you get it filled from a company operated pump.

yes it was filled with company operated shell pump and after that am I checked engine oil it had more carbon it it should have that means it was deposited on the valves and after that I got my car compression test as I thought my car is lossing comression but the compression was fine and when the mechanic at 3s asked my I want to get the compression test of a car which is only 45k I told the whole stroy about hi octane,extra cabron etc etc he recommanded me not to use hi octane and than I researched on net and found m13a compression ratio is 9:5:1 and hi oct is used in 10:0 or higher

that was long time bak....some ppl have tested hi-octane from good reputable pump n found out hi-octane is 93 RON.....most of the modern engine cant run in 87 ron like new altis or civic so I believe regular super is above than 87 maybe 89RON

as per my info;
Normal Regular(Shell, Caltex, PSO) is 87RON,

Total claims there Super Regular is 89RON and

Hioctane is i think either 91 or 93 RONs.

Zoom and pso have good hi-octane @ thokar niaz baig.i am using in my vitz 2004 1500 trs super and 500ts HOBC.
Both are good.

if you know someone who has a very neat and clean 1996 civic VTi made by Atlas Honda motorcars Pakistan, pop the fuel flap open and read the RON rating for it.

i ll see if someone still got the 96 civic....btw on my thai vigo petrol fuel flap shows 91 or more RON....but i filled super regular which work fine but never tried hi-octane yet

The sticker said it requires 95 RON and up

even the g13ba is said to require 95 ron, despite being a carburetor engine

29kms is very very low to quantify any analysis honestly, this can be extended or removed just by changing one's driving style or location.

Regular petrol from parco's refinery does have a higher octane value than regular petrol from other sources - from a scientific study. Total pumps get it from parco.

BUT if your vehicle doea not have a high compression engine, or a one tuned with crazy advanced ignition tables, then it would actually give you lower performance (and mileage) - from personal experience.

JDMs that knock heavy on regular fuel, try using total's regular petrol for one or two fills. Best part is that it carries no extra charge
