Replacing Cultus 1000cc carb Engine with G15 Engine - Is it a good idea for my Needs?

I am running it on petrol... And I recently got its carburetor cleaned and adjusted, rpm adjusted, air filter, petrol filter and I think there was some third filter as well changed (installed brand new ones).... And I got its ac system completely serviced, washed, and filled it with totally new gas....!

Don't know about the spark plugs.... The AC is fine actually...... But if the car keeps on running for some time its efficiency decrease somewhat during the Day.... and the air it spits out does not feel considerably cool..... During the night I have to stop it at different intervals as it cools the car very nicely.... But during the sunny day it is not much efficient... But this is also not the main problem..... As soon as the AC is turned on, it feels like someone has put a lot of weight on the engine and the rpm drops considerably... Like suppose if it is on 3500, it goes to 2000 or less..... and so the acceleration!

Might be possible that your compressor is faulty and putting extra load on engine thus decreasing fuel economy, or might be gas is over charge no sure about this.

As you said you have got ac gas refilled their are higher changes of overcharged system or local bad quality gas the symptoms you mention indicated toward ac gas problem

Check ur rubber pipes that are connected with carburetor. ...those small thin rubber pipes might have tears in them or one of them might not be connected at all.

I had the rpm dropping down issue and the car felt heavy .in the end one of those rubber pipes had a crack and one wasnt connected at all..so check them.

Is ur ac's blow alright? The compressor might also be over charged with gas too.

looking at your question

first your car needs alot of attention ...such low millage means something is faulty .... AC does give load but not that much

you need to check a proper mechanic for these issues ...... engine will solve these issues only if you are looking for more

otherwise even the carb engine is good enough to operate

if the engine is week and needs replacement then G15/G16 is the best option you can get...alot of friends and customers have done it and they are more then satisfied

You mean its engine is good as it is? Why swaping is not a good idea? I mean any reasons if you can tell?

Swaping isnt gud idea bcz i assumed ur car to be 2013 manufactured but since its 2003 so better sell it nd get some late model car. Swaping by local ustads is like destroying ur car by paying money. Ac in even new cultus works this way. It dont realy cools the cabin upto mark during peak hours. Bas "hava" thandi deta hy par cabin thnda nae krta:)

it is bolt on and g15a is more reliable and fuel efficent then this carb engine

i have the same engine and wanted to make it EFI, so went to look for efi engine and i found that no one was quoting above 10k for my current engine. now i want its transmission so looking for it so if ur doing complete swap do contact me

Looks like ur heart is set on a swap. Don't be enticed by FB pages with swapped shiny cars, a swap where the owner is not very technically sound, turns out to be a disaster. These early PKDM cultus' are work horses, do not ruin your car. It's like killing a bee with a bullet. Get the issues fixed, get the compressor checked by someone that's not a monkey, get the timing checked, put new plugs and get your carb serviced by a specialist. You will regret a swap. It's not just throwing in an engine and then enjoy 20kmpl of fuel average and tire smoking acceleration, on the internet it's easy, in the real world, it's a pain in the @55 to even get the motor to work.

Hmmmm.... Thanks for the advice... I'll look into this as well then.... may be I am expecting too much from my car.... Can you please tell me any good workshop in Rawalpindi where I can get these issues checked? Or anyone else?

bro. go for G15 swap with even thinking 1 sec. i have swapped g15a for 2 year. never ever a single problem. corolla se to match hi ni but also no civci can beat it on motorway. i never race with civic on highways due safety reason but but in my 5 trips to isl from lhr, i drove it continuously above 160 to 190. u can say stability even at 190 on motorway was just like corolla. never felt out of control or unstable. as far as fuel ave. i have got max 21.7 km at speed of 80 to 90 on highway. but mostly i cruise it on highways at speed of 120 to 140 not less than this still getting 17. now comes to city, never got more than 10 km/ltr. not less than 10 also in city with a/c. i can guide u about swap whenever u want. will pm u my cell no. first text me about ur no. with ref. to pakwheels. then call.

it might be the right direction to go to.

as a 1st step check plugs and timing of the car. it should improve the experience immediately.
