Can you give parts list(Sort of BOQ) and details with cost which you did in overhauling of your suspension system?

My uncle has 97 model XE, I drove his car last week and went with him to Shah Jee Axle for suspension inspection but staff there quoted Rs. 42,000.
According to them, they have understood it by "play" coming from steering during the 20 seconds drive in which car is brought from road to his shop inside from outside.

Apparently there is no weird SOUND, no alignment issue, car goes straight but as per them, car is working on springs and not on absorbers as they are already gone...... So in 42 thousand AAP KO SAB SET KAR K DEN GAY STEERING QENCHI, KANGHI, BUSHES, BOOTS SAB DAL DEN GAY​

Is it justified?

And every mechanical electrical part is company fitted without any juggar or a single cut to its wiring, still i am facing serious fuel average issue

By tuning I mean valve lash adjustment, checking for oxygen sensor performance, timing belt replacement, fuel trim check and remedial actions for it.

Filters etc.

Btw are you in Canada? How badly is the body rusted?

Yes I was also thinking same to check from some other better place.
Uncle preferred to work from Johar or Gulshan but anyways I will try to convince.

Just want that one should change it only if it is necessary

Is it justified?

• Steering rack can be repaired, though kabuli rack costs around 15k
• Control arm (qenchi) bushings set costs around 3 to 4k
• Control arm ball joints costs around 3k
• Good quality local axle boot (set of 4) should be around 2 to 2.5k
• New set of agriauto shock absorbers (set of 4) costs 20k
• Baqi shock mount (if bad) costs around 1k for each.

Whats the status of your axles? If fine, then good. If they are making noise, then a clean scrappy set will cost you around 12k. Bcz new chinese axle kits are pretty useless & gets bad again after few months.

That's all about prices of parts, baqi you should get it checked from another shop too & get a quote. Then decide accordingly.

He is based in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Car is canadian import.

Why would someone import a canadian spec corolla to Pakistan. Was it imported back when it was new or was it imported when it was old?

Jazak Allah, from the price you mentioned, it seems that 42K for suspension repairing for 1993-2001 Corolla by Shah Jee Axle wala is then justified.
Actually, its my uncle's car, actually he complained that he has this car since zero meter but now it is not conformable like before.

When I drove with him, I also felt at 1 place due to sudden Bridge joint on 1 Karachi Bridge in which I let it go without applying brakes, the car was around 40 to 50 Kmph but over passing that joint in that speed, passengers inside got and felt severe jerk... I also felt 1st time the unusual in my back bone (afraid of back slip discs) over that.

Car has apparently no suspension noise at all but passengers inside are feeling too much jerks and bouncing much due to poor road conditions

Plz check post#522 of this thread. Pics & part number of injectors are posted there.
Also check fuel injector duty cycle through scanner. Ideally its should be around 2.8 to 3.2 ms on idle.
If these values are high, then there is a problem somewhere.

I think, he didn't imported it. Balkay got it cleared via custom auction.
As I saw hundreds of these usdm spec LHD corollas got cleared from customs in 2019.

Yeah the price is good if he is replacing everything with quality parts as I mentioned above.

Seems like the shock absorbers are gone on your uncle's ride, wrna this car has a good comfortable ride.

How much is it driven ? I mean original mileage. And year of manufacture ?

Usually stock shock absorbers do the job good for 200k kms if driven carefully.
