Restoration of Fiat D-600

Yes recently bought it from Islamabad. The frame is in good condition, as in there is no major accident . Doors and the boot had been removed by the previous owner as he had started the project earlier. The engine he had purchased as this car was without one. My good luck that it is in top shape. So all in all a very doable project. Just needs some time, have already ordered the bumpers and the grille and the lights. Will be starting the thread soon...need to get the Austin and the Fiat process warped up a bit.

This guy I have known for ages. My dad used to get his work done from him. Since my project cars seem to increase every month so I have hired him on a permenant basis. Have shifted his entire shop to an old house of mine so I can keep a check on him:P

Which engine did he get? an 850cc or a 998cc?
I have a hood and bootlid lying around among a host of other parts, let me know if you need anything.

Sorry Nasir, Bro was travelling and had little time...but you would be rather pleased that the work on FIAT is going on at full swing. Had to start the denting from scratch and have to replace some panels. Attaching some pictures fro you. Also could not do what you had asked me to....truly sorry for that. I am back now so if you still want me to look for that engine let me know. Thanks

This is what i have in mind for the FIAT, minus the horrendous body work. Love the way the engine generates the HP. Any advise on the engine swap guys? As it is already without its original engine ( Suzuki 660 presently) it wouldn't hurt to get a swap for something which gives more performance.

Guys the project is on hold at the moment. Needed to start my other mini as its condition was getting worse day by day. The floors and panels had rotten away and I just had to get them replaced. The fabricator is busy with that. The body work on the Fiat is complete. I have had it primered and stored till I get done with the Mini. I should be starting with it in a month or so. Will keep updating!
