This is my Mitsubishi Lancer 1996 GLX .. bro i am facing few problems with it....which are mentioned below..

1. My car heats up when i use AC on full...its temp gauge rises (Normally it remains on 50%) but when i switch AC button on ...then it increases and keeps increasing...?? why??
2. Its blower sounds weird when i switch it to circulate interior air rather than exterior one (on exterior air its sound is normal).
3. When temperature guage reaches upto 70% it interlinks itself with Indicators/Headlights ...(means when i turn the right indicator on...its needle also starts moving with it like 70-80-70-80), and when i switch on headlights needle increases its actual level upto 10%(means if it is on 80% it will rise upto 90%)
4. 4th issue is that when i switch on AC its pick-up reduces dramatically.. whyyy
5. 5th its mileage with AC is 90 KM approx (CNG fills up of Rs. 600)
6. I have recently filled the Gas in its compressor or whatever place they instal.. but i don't get chilled with its coolness...means its not toooooooooooooo cold whyy?? and AC also keeps on tripping then starts again then trips then starts again..(is this normal)

1. By heat up do you mean that only the needle goes up and the engine does not shut down. Normally when an engine overheats it stalls. Which one of these is the case with your car.

2. Did you get the blower serviced? if not get it serviced. (not really sure about this but once the blower is out you can check it by turning it on directly through battery and identify the issue.

3. Get the wiring checked your wiring is all messed up.

5. The average mileage with ac on full tank of CNG is the same you mentioned give or take a few.

the above picture was to give you an idea of what can be done, the two manifolds of 3 each are pretty easy for a fabricator. One for cylinders 123 and one for 456.

Yes I assumed that's what it was. Will keep it in mind for another project that's in the pipeline after this. The manifold here is now complete and sitting under the heat shield!

i guess a heckflosse can also have these problems. I know of one, albeit distant, "relative" of the fintail ( a 126 I have) that suffers from problem no.3 in the lancer. Will eventually get around to it I suppose.......

Am happy to "report" that the installation of the engine alongwith gearbox and exhaust is compete. The engine has been started and sounds great although I must admit I find the note and "wooffle" of the 1UZ more purposeful so to say! Have opted for a slightly modified exhaust system using 2.5in pipe and tail pipes on both sides albeit very discreet. The gearbox linkages need adjustments so that the lever can sit right. A new larger brake servo alongwith new brake pipeline etc has been put in. After a preliminary test drive, the suspension wil be taken apart and parts of it replaced, reconditioned or reprinted as required. Long way to go yet!!

The fintail came out of the place where all the fabrication/ installation for the mechanicals was being carried out UNDER ITS OWN STEAM so to say!! Big moment for all concerned and involved. Somehow....and all too familiarly.....even at this stage, the expense seems to be of minimal importance although believe me it isnt!!!
As you may be able to make out, the car is still a bare shell and without the bonnet and bootlid. ALL the electrics still have to be done and work on reconditioning the suspension starts tmrw. The steering, now power- assisted feels well balanced. Brake upgrade will be finalized once can actually drive the thing with a proper seat in it! As will the need for any work on the back axle, but again, even these old mercs are very over-engineered, so may get lucky! You'll also notice the new exhaust arrangement ( the one on the left is the addition). The final shape of the tail pipes will be determined after trial fitting the rear bumper. The exhaust note is very purposeful and am lookng frwrd to flooring the throttle where I safely can

just the servo. If a further upgrade is needed will use the discs, calipers and pads out of a 126.

The rear suspension being removed for reconditioning, painting and replacement of body bushes, dampers etc.
The exhaust system had to be removed also. As u can see its pretty basic but seems to be doing the job

you could get a remote servo like the old Mazda 1500 SS and these old Benz had them too, it makes for a very very neat install.

The original exhaust setup of this car is dual pipe all the way - its quite something but you are missing the big 8 cylinder lump in the front bit. Props to you, make some donuts.

Hello again. For now will leave the remote servo for when I "fine tune" the various aspects of the car during the initial months of usage. I don't have specifics of the original exhaust designs so went with one using 2.5in piping. Yes, a V8 lump in the front would have been the ideal choice and hence the installation of the 1 UZ in the 109 mainly bec the orig eng was a V8 too. No model of a Fintail SALOON ever came with a V8 so I wasn't too sure about the effect on the structure itself. I have embarrassing memories, from another life 30 years ago, of what happened to the FIREWALL of a Datsun 260Z 2+2 when some univ friends and I shoehorned a 5.3 liter V12 Jaguar engine into it.............
As for donuts, this old bird has the same rear susp set up as the 300SL Gullwing so you never know!

bro mashaALLAH looking great.... why dont u move battery into trunk will give a cleaner look to engine bay plus a little bit more room..

everything looks tightly squeezed in there.. the design of the exhaust is not so good as you have done some much work on car it deserves nice chrome tail pipes..

i can send u MAGNA FLOW mufflers 2 seperate ones.. and u can make some thing like an X pipe in middle coming for the CATALYST converter. and join it together. u can lose horses for not having a proper exhaust..

Hello. Will look into the option of moving the battery to the boot at a later stage. For now the idea is to get everything into some sort of working order! As mentioned in the reply to the post above this one, there will be a lot of adjustments that will have to be made once the car becomes mobile. Then specific focus will be on how everything will look in the engine bay.

Thankyou very much for the offer to send the mufflers. Would appreciate some details / pics of them. For now the basic exhaust has been fabricated. Trimmings like tail pipes etc will be installed later. This system does not as such have a catalytic converter.

this is X pipe very crutial component for V engines to distribute exhaust gases this will cost ?43 UK delivery to my door step.. this is 2.5" same as what u have introduced in ur car same down piping width.. stainless steel and polished.

the exhaust back boxes come in different shapes and size ranging from 45 - 90 pounds. u can choose length width etc

i am posting ones i feel will look appropriate on ur car.. as u need 2 of them .. which connect into X pipe or a posibility of Y pipe in your case

this Y pipe will cost 27 pounds deliver to door step in UK

the PRO FUSION serious u can get within 40 pounds but small length one 819416. the dimensions will come up when u put exhausr code on google.. depends how long u want then.. max u can have is 22" in lenth. these ones come without fancy tips as u see in pictures.

the 14809 is around 90 pounds a piece.. comes in slit tip. or rounded the one below.. u can choose u will need 2 of them..

so the cheapest of all options.. profusion. 2 of them 100 including delivery plus Y pipe foe 27 including delivery..

127 pounds to UK. u can add sports cat for another 90 pounds but confirm with xulfiqar sahab if there is a need of it or not.

in my opinion very cheap branded system..
