where have you been??long time no see??
though I am keeping an eye on your conversation about MAZDA 1500 in a thread which includes an OPEL and a BMW.nice machine...I was expecting your post in that thread and you were there..:).
trying hard to finish these spitfires in these winters to drive and enjoy them...lets see...
Now about the chemical...
mainly it attacks rust but you have to keep an eye after application that when required results are achieved I.e no more rust left,then we have to apply another chemical for the first one to stop working anymore....but if it is left on the metal for longer times (more than required )then,It may harm the healthy metal to some extent.
Actually I used it because battery tray on red spitfire had some deep rust...like pitting was there where sand paper could not reach neither wire brush was working,So I tried this with good results..
have a look here..and compare with the pics with rust...I think better than before..
