Where did you get this idea of cutting this HUGE size of bumper bracket slots? O man, the front apron is ruined. If you didn't have the measurements before you cut these HUGE and ugly slots, you could have asked here on the forum. I am sure someone could have walked to their cars in porch and measured the slots to share it here for you. Disappointed!

Looks like the denter tried to fit Europa bumper brackets to the blade mounts...

kindly if any one can give the correct dimension and measurement of the front piece that u can see in the pic .
i left that piece because i was also thinking that it was not is right order .

My 70 has 3 inches high bumper mounting brackets with 5 inches high bumper mounting bracket slots in the apron. Upper and lower edges are ROUND and not RECTANGULAR; something like this:

I hope this helps.

Correct me if i am wrong but i though that the bumper bracket on 1972 should be in the area i highlighted in red square & there should be no horn holes but in the picture you have attached is shows that mount holes are in the fender martial.

I said "My 70", which is as 'deluxe'. I am not sure about the 72 economy if the slots are supposed to be on the apron or on the fenders. However all post 67 VWs, as far as I know, have bumper mounting brackets slots on the fenders and not the aprons.

Probably someone will know it better than I do, so lets just wait until someone could confirm it for us.

the bumper brackets are only here on the 1200, the rest have them in the fender.
