There was a standox paint dealer in Karachi, Amin paints something in DHA, the best part of the standox paint system was that he could mix up exact color shades of the color card by mixing base paint and toners to get the right shade. The extra bit that gave him the edge was the system also mixed primers and finish toners for the correct effect. I saw him paint a W124 in dunkelblau - It looks like regular dark blue, but most shops just run from trying to match it - he could match it perfectly, the paint/primer and finisher actually completed the shade.. He sprayed a mazda 323 too in red, the owner wanted the bright ferrari "rosso" - the primer was yellow and the paint was actually maroonish that shined through, That red was the most beautiful red I had ever seen, I mean a regular original mazda red was looking like dark maroon infront of it.It would be best to either get VW part nos. (most probably BASF items) and try to locate a vendor that can give you exact items from their inventory.
