from where can i get the door at cheap price?
and does the thing require power steering.i will just have to change a power pump in it to convert it to power?

not sure if you'll be able to find a door in PK, but you should be able to get one made (not a ver good one though). best bet is to ask Aabir to grab you one from the uk.

DO NOT put power steering on it. no early VW needs power steering.

was currently looking for front seats genuine are not available so am open for suggestion might go for mini bucket seats that is if i find em

fit waht is comfortable. but nothing beats the stock seats (speaking from experience)

beetle seats can not be used since they are too small for this car

whoever told you that needs to get his head examined. beetle seats fit straight on (they are the same).

forgot to mention that got a set of amercian wirr rims for it which will need repolishing :D:D

honestly i think those wire wheels loook horrible and will not suit the thing. however it is all a matter of taste. If you decide to fit them, may I please purchase (at least) one of your 5-bolt steel wheels off you? as i'm missing my spare.

will ask arshad again for clarification abt the seats
my thing did not come with any rims .it had 13inch alloy which previous owner wanted for his car
i was unable to find the stock wheels set for my thing got 2 of em and borrowed 2 the one i got are in worst possible shape so i do not think they will be of any use will check if i can arrange one more for u ,pappu ustad might have one clean rim
will fit wire rim but if i do not like em will replace em straight away with stock rims

that was the first thing i did wven before buying the THING:D
the main difference b/w urs and mine is that urs was in running order while mine is kind of a scratch build in which i have to start from the base.
is ur thing still in pak?
when are you coming back.
arshad ustad wanted to see it and wanted take some measurement in order to replicate the butchered dashboard and the glove comportment cover
and urs had wooden interior did u replace it or painted it?

I believe I already have explained to you on VWCOP thread about the interchangeability of 71/72 STD/Super bug front seats onto a THING. They are straight bolt ons for THING.

Stock wheels, smoothies, well bug smoothies and not Bus/Thing wheels, were available in a set with Pappu in February when I visited him to collect pop out windows for Patina. You should check with him for their availability now.

If you still couldn't find a set from him, I have 66 bug wheels in a set of four available with me in pretty good shape. Let me know and I could send the set your way until you could find the correct wheels.

first thing first will use the rims i bought the wire rims IF they do not look good then going to use the stock rims and the hub cap without emblem
