A question for everyone.. If the heater boxes are kept stripped, why should it be a problem in running the engine? The only drawback i see is a non-functional heater and a somewhat incomplete engine.

Why in the world the welds to the stripped heater boxes and why did you not try to source the heater boxes? I am sure one can find some replacement heater boxes if looked at the right places. Give Waseem (Pappu)/RWP a call at 0300 525 1598 and ask for the pair.

...or go for the simple J tubes....

He'll ship the same for Rs. 400-600 to you if he gets the price he is willing to sell so I dont see the problem there.

I doubt that....these are worth more than that just for their scrap metal value...

A little correction first, your car has the heat exchangers and is missing the heater boxes.

Beside when you get a pair of replacement heater boxes (with exchanger inside) you would simply replace the current stripped exchangers with new boxes, problem solved.

Hi guys, I got a call today from my mechanic that he would fit the engine by today. I couldn't go to the workshop at that time because I was quite busy. But I did get the chance to go their today, and IT IS FINALLY IN!

I couldn't believe that it was finally fitted. I couldn't take pictures because I went to the workshop from somewhere else and forgot to take the camera.

But, I'll go to the workshop tomorrow hopefully and get you guys a ton of pictures and more updates

I got a call from Harry uncle today informing me that they were about to install the engine. I would try to visit in a day or two to check out the progress.

So, I was all hyped over the engine being finally fitted. I couldn't find the heater boxes :(, asked Shabo uncle as well he didn't have any engine in stock.

The bottom shield hasn't been fitted yet, it will be on soon.

Here are the pictures as promised, sorry for the messed up angles there was a Civic parked quite close to Blue so I couldn't take pictures properly.

Will post a lot of more pictures tomorrow when I go to give the battery and petrol.

I gave the ignition switch for key making and switch making. The switch was free and had no turning point, got that fixed. But now the problem is that, one of the points for one out of the four wires is missing. How many wires are in the switch in total? I don't know which one it is do anyone of you guys know?

P.S: The point that is missing is encircled

The mechanic said he needed a battery, I thought of getting a used one but then I thought it would die out soon and then I'll have to get another one and spend money again.

So I just thought of buying a new one, it would cost more of course but then it'll last a much much longer period. After thinking I just went to get a new one. It costed me 4,200rs it's an Exide (wet, 12V 70 AMP) with a 6-month warranty.
