Restoration story of my Spitfire convertible

What to do dear....some times other responsibilities don't allow you to spend time in your relaxing activities.

Obliged for watching this thread and bearing with me for SOOOOO long...
You are right that this spitfire was a bucket of rust and nothing else.Actually I like this old /small toy so much that I put all these efforts into this restoration.
Restoring/making these old cars is not that difficult but a good amount of patience is required because there is a good chance during the process that you feel turned off and quit leaving the project incomplete or selling it........
I took it as a hobby for my spare time.
working on these cars when time and circumstances allowed and stored them other wise (with care).
That is why it took so long to finish these two cars.But a lot of patience is still there and will complete these cars INSHALLAH.

Ok.....
Lets go to the updates now...
After installing front lights,surrounds,grill,parking,bumpers etc,thought about the rear lights...
A good amount of "search" was required because after such a long time,Its difficult to remember the location of so many stored things...
Any how,found in quite bad shape and decided to clean/refurbish them before installing...rear lights of spitfire are simple and straight forward...

My son insisted upon helping me in cleaning the lights....
after a little argument...:),I surrendered and allowed him to do so .....

And did a nice job...:).

I cleaned the base thoroughly with grade 2000 (I think) wet sand paper and decided to repaint the reflectors with chrome paint...
Masked the surrounding area.......

Reflectors after receiving a couple of chrome spray....better than before.

One light complete and other under process....
you can see the results....like brand new...
cleaned all the bulb holders too with very soft and old wet sand paper...

After completing both rear lights.....
now comes the number plate light.
Dismantled carefully...
