Just a Suggestion:-
Do mention the expertise of mechanic/workshop in which brand/vehicle/version or cng/petrol/diesel.

Because if the mechanic is specialist for corolla petrol and ur taking ur diesel there then it will be a waste of time...

There are too many mechanics experts in fixing FX, Mehran 800, Alto, Carry Van and pickup, Corolla. . . But if you take any other vehicle, like Daewoo Racer, Hyundai Santro or Chevy Spark, they'll ruin your vehicle by doing experiments on it :o

I know a man who had to sell his Subaro J10 very cheap (just 140k) after visiting several ustaads. . .

good suspension work person has a shop in market next to karachi jail on old sabzi mandi road. next to pedesterian bridge. nice fellow with great rates. very reasonable very experienced
m too searching for a good mechanic . so members help me out. i need to swap a engine in a gtti but have no idea of swaping and dnt know good mechanics
bad mechanics
well altaf and his brother babu .very popular dnt know y!. at nazimabad. under the abasi shaheed bridge. next to fire brigade station.well he opened up abs of my vti 04 and then fitted it back without placing a small ruber which is to be fitted under the abs. when i drove the car it gave a crackling sound. i took the car back to him. he checked and he said"ur axel has the fault go to banaras and get it cut to a smaller size" . thx to my eyes tht i saw the ruber, piked it up and got it fix from other place.

Does he has genuine parts (Honda city) available (or can he arrange it) in case of replacement needed after damages? Also, how good is he in denting/paint job on cars? In that location there are many small scale mechanics who do not have a well administered workshop.

I find it very irritating when the mechanics say that go and buy the part from Plaza, we will install it. Plaza jaanay ka time hota tou un k paas atay hee kiun. It's an impossible task to go to plaza after office timings due to the traffic jams there.

yes he can arrange genuine parts for any car....or rahi baat denting panting ki tu us k lie ye you ko kahi or jana padey ga.....

for cng tuning their is a guy named ali.his shop is at matric board office road which goes inside to paposh.doesnt has electrical equipments but is great with manual tuning and tapets seting etc.

An Educated Mechanical Engineer workshop. Not many people know about him but he is really technical person and my uncle.
He does mechanical work as well as paint jobs for Exotics as well.

Dude I think race_addicted meant that the things I said in my earlier post were exactly the same in his mind. Or shall we say, we 3 have the same thought i.e. to make a thread about the good mechanics to go to, so that we won't get robbed by the zardari mechanics which are all over the country. It's great that you took the initiative.

@Mods: Now can we make this thread sticky in this forum section at least!! (considering when a useless thread like Cricket World Cup discussion was made a sticky, this thread actually can really benefit a lot of PW forumers here!)

Directions : Facing towards Shahra-e-Faisal with Mc Donalds Tariq Road on your LEFT. Take Right from the Light on Allah wali Chorangi. Keep driving and pass the Noorani Kabab Signal. The next Chowrangi has Enercon center on its right corner.

They have got the same equipment and I am pretty much satisfied.

Bad Mechanics:
Dnt remember the garage name, it's located on Jurahi, Adiala Road Pindi. There was a guy name Manzoor from AJK, we took two cars there; 1) Daewoo for transmission problem and 2) Charade 1985 (Diesel) for timing belt. us idiot ne 2no cars ki wat laga di thi
Good Mechanic:
Again forgot the name :o but its located near Kamran Market, near UBL (or may be ABL) bank. He can fix steering, suspension and axels etc of many cars like Corolla, Daewoo, Hyundai and even Subaro
