I hate 2.0d :eek:....this time indus should discontinue 2.od,2.od saloon,2.od saloon...

In a day i can see 100 number of xli ,50 gli , 30 altis.... but not even a five 2.od...

Seven years ago, my father decided to buy the diesel Corolla but the service manager at Toyota Islamabad suggested him to choose petrol because there were vibrational issues and such sounds which owners were complaining about but Toyota refused to do anything about it. Set back, we forgot about it till one day my father met a friend who knew the then Choreman ov Toyota Indus. Abu asked him for a suggestion and the next morning the uncle goes to me, 'i spoke about your next car to the Chairman. he said not to buy diesel.' i myself went with another uncle to Lahore once. the roaring engine caused me a pathetic headache. nonetheless, his car is now driven 290000+ km and is still running superb, without any engine issues he says.

Thats because that engine is very reliable and suitable for our diesal.One of toyota officials told me that they dont introduce D4D corolla in Pakistan because of low quality fuel here.

true. BUT diesel is going to be the fuel of future. (NO CNG for three days in a week)

So changing a buggy diesel engine to fuel efficient diesel engines is better than discontinuation.

i agree...they should do this... but we have petrol which is much more economical n easy to maintained than diesel n have less engine noise....

Got a new GLi M/T today in black.
i did not have to pay premium (thats a secret i wont disclose ;p)

july 1 prices were 1,504,000. July stock was to arrive mid july, so got a car with june invoice of 1,529,000. Transportation was charged as Rs 2000. Freight wasnt specifically charged anywhere.
Reg+insurance+tracker from toyota gave me a total JHATKA of 1,635,000.

I saw many of my fellow pakwheelers complaining about the calculation of price decrease. Mere bhaion, the price cut was on standard price of the car (excluding taxes). i.e. for example, the basic price of Honda Civic Prosematic is 14 lac to 15 lac. So the 3.5 deduction would be on this price. However, showroom price is 1815000 because of taxes and duties. I am just thinking, itna tax ikhata karti gov and phir bhe kehte hein k sirf 2% population tax deti hey. How possible.

How many people buy new cars? Whats the population of Pakistan?

2% of 18 crore is 36 lacs...do you think we sell more than 36 lac vehicles per year? Face it, only salaried person pay tax because they have no other choice...and a few big businessmen that usually pay far less than their due share.

As for the prices, Rolla is still too pricey considering its crap quality.

City is a decent price - I was hoping Civic manual would be around 15 but its not unfortunately.
