Thanks for keeping this topic alive every year. Without your interest most of us would not have bothered to dig it. About the car itself, it actually gave a sense of Achievement to all Pakistani Local Car enthusiasts.
I saw a few Revos in Islamabad in my last trip to Pakistan in Summer of 2011. They looked beautiful. Revo Put Pakistan on the map of Car Making Nations, and we are proud of it. All cars have product life cycle, even in US there have been some cars that lasted only few months, that does not mean that the whole country is not capable of making a car.
Pakistan is fully capable of making 100% of its own car. Its more a matter of optimal business move than it is of capability of an entire nation. If some businessman thinks its a viable option where he can make profit out of making a 100% Pakistani car, he will do it in a heartbeat.
At this point people prefer Imports, and only Japanese Brands, due to decades of mental conditioning that only Japanese brands are worth buyin, no European, American, models exist in Pakistan, only 3 Japanese Assemblers control the whole market, as of now. It can change for the better, if the government decides to do so.
