so they earn more than thrice on Mehran in Pakistan

While Suzuki is earning almost thrice in INdia as well as it cost around 40k in India

so one can image that Tata will be able to make n sell such car by 2008

If we support this compamy may be by 2010 we have also yet another Pakistani car

We have the Potential to make it big

We are working on it

Our Instittude are also investing in Automative sectoor

Now we have faculty of Auto Engineering in NED university

I hope n wish that other Pakistan Instittude will also follow the path and will produce Automative Engineers

Im absolutely loving my REVO.

The only problem i have is that i get attention of many people on the road or when im stoped at a point like CNG filling station, then many people gather around me and ask lots of questions about the car because Adam motors havn't adverstised this car because of slow production may be.

Im thinking to print a full info about car and paste the paper on the back of car so people dont bother me.

I'm making a pictorial review as promised. but its hard to find time for that but I'll post it once completed. here is an interior shot.

Excellent Photography skills brother zakwild. Looking at this photo shot, would make a true Pakistani really proud. Everything you see, is made in our dear Pakistan.

While looking at it, I went back in time, to the year 1989 . When Suzuki Alto, was first introduced in Pakistan (But it was introduced in Japan in 1986). My uncle (may his sould rest in peace), bought it when it was just introduced. I really liked its looks. But now that car, mehran has outlived its time and glory. Its now a 20 years old car, on its merry way to beat the VW Beetle as being the oldest production car.....LoL.

Now, ALHUMDULILAH, First by the grace of Allah Almighty, and secondly by the hard work of people like Feroz Khan, our country has made its own Car. This was a dream, and now it is being realized.

Just looking at the all the electric switches, rubber and metal and synthetic rayon seats, and even dome light, makes you feel happy, that your counry has made this car. You country is Finally progressing, developing.

However, it really dissappoints you, when you see, all these people comming out of nowhere, and start to lambast and say negative things about this car, without knowing anything about it.

If they can not appreciate it, and be able to see what went in to this, how much hard work, how many hours of labor, how much time and money, and finally how many dreams realized, then they should just keep there mouths SHUT.

So, all you REVO HATERS.... I Challenge you to Design a car like this, make all the parts yourself, show it to the world, and most of all, SELL it to the people, and then SHOW your meansly little FACE here and try to have a debate on REVO.

I agree with pak_ranger. Just 'patriotism' is not enough...
Most of the suggestions have been made in good faith and spirit in this forum. But its true that only peolpe who own and drive a Revo (like me) can honestly share their experiences. No one would like to support a 'Pakistani', who has designed a machinery, developed a formula and manufacturering and successfully selling inferior quality medicines......
The point is that people spend 300k and want to have a 'trouble-free' new car. Revo is worth this price and much better in many things from Mehran but it still has some problems, which are just due to 'poor quality control' and poor 'pre delivery inspection' system at Adam. They address this and Revo becomes a real wonder. Some of the minor problems, I'm facing are water goes in the headlights, horn stops blowing, temp guage gets stuck, steering gets harder. I have taken the car to their dealer couple of times but sincerely hope that all these problems will be rectified after the first 1000 kms service, hopefully, inshallah.

mr. hnaqi I want to hear more of your experiences abt your REVO.

There are some people in this post who really go over the top in supporting the revo. I am sure they do so because of the strong sense of belongingness towards Pakistan.

But they should understand that their over enthusiastic support could harm the Revo.
On reading such overenthusiastic comments abt the Revo, a naive customer might blindly go ahead and buy the Revo without anticipating the small problems which might crop up in the car. Such problems will be naturally present since Adam motors are just learning how to manufacture cars.

Common people invest a big sum while buying a car and so they should be given the true picture abt the product.

Instead of jingoistic comments from overenthusiastic guys, I would like to hear more from guys like hnaqi who have actually bought the Revo and can therefore give us the true picture.

Today on myw ay to office i saw two Revos with WWF (wildlife Fund) sticker on them, i think they have bought these babies.

As a Revo user, i can tell you its not a product which normally you see made in Pakistan. Its amazingly excellent effort as its just a start, those problems mentioned by hnaqi are so minour. There have been big problems seen in recent copies of Mehran. So Revo is much better then that. Your critical feedback are also good but they can misslead some people who want to buy Revo but they get so much pressurised by negative feedbacks and they end up on Mehran which is just a realestate-alike business.

So if we promote this car now then Im quite sure Inshallah Adam motor will be able to drop a bomb in the automobile indusitry with the Revo V2.

Adam motor could go on the route of our motorbike industry by copying Mehran and by making 1:1 copy of it to get cheap way of temproary success. but their plan is long term. may be they want to dominate. They made this car with their own standards. I recently installed AC in my Revo and the AC installer told me that this car has a new standard of fitting the AC.

The design is amazing, it cathes the eye of many people. When i was at AC fitting shop, then many people (other vehicle owners) came and checked the car and when they came to know abt the price, they just said you got this car for free man.

So plz support this car. and send critiques to adam motor directly if you want them to get fixed.

Why did Adam motors put a steering wheel that big? anyone couldve designed a better, smaller one.

Why did they have to source their lights (for revo) from a chinese car? ppl who made revo are auto engineers right? so coudnt they design their own lights?

Why did Adam make a funny and round speedometer? is it their own design? tell me plz.

but this is a good car (for a start) and better than mehran (esp the shape).
i think theres one variant , the cheapest one, i dont think it has AC in it. In a hot country like pakistan, how can ppl survive without AC. So i think this variant practically has nothing in it. Somebody plz tell me wat was the reason behind Adam not including AC in this variant.
oh ya one more thing i have been wondering for a long time is that who the heck is ADAM? after who is this company named after?

First of all, Adam Motors never marketed this car on the basis of "Patriotism". They are selling this car on its own merit. This car is well made. It not only beats its immediate competition mehran, but also exceeds when even compared to cars much more costlier than it. Which other 1000cc car has an EFI engine along with AC and CNG (both facotory installed) at the price Revo 105 is selling. None.

This car was built on EUROPEAN safety standards, so obviously, it far exceeds any Pakistani standards, if there are any......

@hnaqi bhai, your concerns are very valid brother. I sincerely hope your minor issues would be fixed.

I would really recommend if you can e-mail the dealership name and address and the time and date you purchased your car, directly to Adam Motors.

I am sure, they will guide you more properly as well make sure these minor issues do not occur, on regular basis.

Even in USA, many Brand New Zero Meter cars malfunction. It is the response of the dealership and the policy of the automaker that differentiate the quality and more importantly the AFTER SALE SERVICE. So far, I gather that you have been getting a satisfactory service from Adam Motors authorized dealerships.

About the brothers that have brilliant ideas about improving the REVO design, I would repeat once more, DESIGN A CAR YOURSELF, BUILD A FACTORY, MANUFACTURE THE CAR, MARKET IT, SELL IT, and then you will see that making a car is not the cake walk that a CHILD (physically or menally) can only dream about. Carefully think about it then respond intelligently.

Some of the design features in this car are really revolutionary. The side impact beams are NON-Existant in many cars that are assembled in Pakistan and are much more expensive than revo. The basic Door locks, as you can see, are not the conventional Pull Up, like even in High End car in Pakistan, but Slide back locks. This is important specially in Pakistan. A car thief can easily open a car door lock, if it is a simple pull up lock, like in Mehran an almost all other cars in Pakistan.

I have same type of doorlocks as REVO (slidebacks attached to inner doorhandles) in my Lexus GS300.

And BTW, ADAM is the name of one of the sons of Mr. Feroz Khan, the owner of Adam Motors. His other factory Omarjibran, which makes parts for almost all the other car assembler in Pakistan, is also named after his other two sons, Omar And Jibran.

For critics: Dear people can you come up with a brand new car for 2.69 lacs (inclusive of alltaxes).

Saying Mehran costs 80,000rupees is easy, ya it can be made for that if you dont have a company with HUMAN BEINGS to run, Taxes, Management to pay etc etc... that list for a Huge company making Automobiles is too long.

So Critics, are you gonna give me any Brand New car for this much ?

I know deep down, they all love Revo, and want it to succeed, but sometime they just try too hard, and are trying in the wrong thread. Instead they should have another thread named...((((((((((HOW TO IMPROVE REVO))))) and then post all there naggings, brilliants ideas there.....

This thread is solely for the FANS and OWNERS of REVO.

So, if you are not a Fan/Supporter of this car or Owner (actual or potential owner in future), then really you should find another thread to post your wise thoughts/ ideas.
