Rinnai Gas or Hybrid (Gas+Electric) Heaters

6 of the hybrid as in brown you posted are with us and very efficient but gas pressure & load shedding gave tough time since 2008, idea of reopening / cleaning fireplace was adopted in 2009 at start of winter and since then we stack planks & use alternatively>

geysers are also insulated in wooden crate like box with glass wool blanket. Gas bill was quiet low in terms of money since 2011, we learned so much due to crisis. am sure more peace in winter 2014.

Instant geaser run on only electric

If electric instant geasure the what is the cost or electric consumption

If gas then what about lpg gas

I don't know about hybrid water heater

But instant tank-less water heaters are available in market these are

Electric only
Gas only
Gas + LPG one

All are working good and everyone has its own Pros and Cons ..

I don't know exact prices of Pindi, but it still seems higher as I bought 5000BTU heater from Peshawar for 7.5k while 2800 BTU for 3k.

Yup and its exhaust emission is controlled in some manner. No idea how, but it doesn't produce suffocation in the room atmoshpere while heating like the normal gas heaters. Plus it can be kept running while sleeping due to auto shut off valve.

Though I used to sleep with normal heater full on and me inside a thick quilt.

Yes saw these as well. But beyond reach

Emission controlled auto shut type gas heaters from Rinnai have been in the market since 1990's. Itst the hybrid one that are better due to blower which heats up the room much quickly. The brand new ones in the that range are really quite expensive for a middle class household but used / refurbished/reconditioned one are the alternate.

Please always turn off all gas heaters before you sleep. I think only electrical radiators are safe.

I bought a few from Peshawar just last month....much cheaper as compared to Lhr or pindi. you can see a post above about the price in pindi and my price from Karkhano bazar Peshawar for comparison. No idea about Lhr though but it would be even expensive than Pindi.

Bro 1995-98 models were for 3500, 2000-2002 for 4500, 2003-2005 6500rs and 2009 i got for 8000rs including converter and corior charges.
I knw it will be a little bit higher but still it worth....

i have got 5 of rinnai hybrid heaters bought form al fatah, little pricey but they keep the atmosphere really nice and gas consumption law, you set the temperature and it regulates the room on it would even shutoff and re start when reached that temp, it also has remote control so you can control it form far away

cons is i don't know about other people but all of ours don't work on low gas pressure, they shutoff or show error, a normal heater would still be working at that time, they were useless when gas pressure gets really low, also they require both electricity (to power functions and blower) and gas to work, they also have a filter on the back which requires cleaning after a few days like AC filter

but in gas heaters nothing beats them , the room atmosphere and ease of convenience and costs savings in gas are great, plus remote control is a bonus!
