In Nathiagali where we had bookings at the Hotel Elites. That evening we called just to reconfirm that our convoy was expected to arrive in nathiagali around evening time. To our surprise, our bookings were cancelled owing to heavy rush and we were then forced to make alternate arrangements.
We were scheduled to be in Nathiagali from Saturday July 9 to Tuesday July 12. And we realized that our chances of getting not 1 but 3 rooms was bleak that to on a weekend had we gone and recceeâd the place. We really didnt want to take the risk with 3 families. Thank God, better sense prevailed.
We were constanly trying to check on the forecast and it did cross our minds that maybe we should just extend our tripp in the valley by a couple of more days...may be go ot Shogran instead. But the forecast wasnt very promising and we wanted to get out of Naran before the rains. Didnât want to get stuck and drive through the off road patch of what we had experienced on our way to Naran in rain. That would have really been a nightmare!
