I saw few 2x2s there.. The road was under construction in full speed i think it will be ready by next year. we didnt had much time so did not go to Chilas.. next year InshAllah .

Great going, SIR!!! It's a lovely drive upto the top. We, at ORAD, crossed this beauty, this and last year( JUN '08 and JUL '09) as well....reversing the order( Naran...Chillas and Chillas....Naran). It is much easier done via Chillas as the road is 70% metalled(a group of people managed to put a Corolla on the top because of the better road condition but guess never made it to Naran all the way). Maybe next time when we venture out North, you could join us!!!

That's a bad news..

I wish that this road could never be completed.B'coz once the road is completed the natural beauty of this valley will be ruined.I'm sorry to say it but v as a nation don't know or give sh*t about preserving the nature and natural beauty.
for exmaple, few year ago when melted road was only till kaghan and naran never heard of diesal engine sound. Very few ppl had reached saif-ul-malok it's beauty was so pure that ppl said fairies land on it.But Now u can see jeeps parked beside the lake and ppl washing them like it's a service station,ppl eating and throwing garbage in the lake, Boats are running on water and polluting it with their engine noise and waves.It's sooo disturbing and pathetic.
If the road completes same thing is gonna happen to dodipatsar,lulusar and seral lake.ppl will flock around those lake and another syed zadi will become a pro*tite.
May Allah give us all wisdom and courage to preserve this beautiful landscape for our future generations.

Awesome Hanif Bhai! Buhat aala! amazing photography... and now I am restless to set sail for those areas again. Have a few questions.

1- Can a road car navigate upto Babusar top?
2- How is tyhe road to shogran?
3- How is the road from Balakot to Naran?

I have a road car and want to know how manageable is it going to be. Thank you.
